Winter’s wrapped up! (Tuesday)
First off, sorry this is coming a day late. I tried to write it yesterday but the castle library got really busy for some reason. Why didn't I write it Sunday night like I usually do?
Well that's what today's scroll is about :)
Ponyville had winter wrap-up over the weekend! If you didn't read last year's Winter wrap-up update and are wondering why we did it so early, it's because we like to get out ahead of the game. Quick history lesson! Ponyville was founded by earth ponies. So we've done winter wrap-up without magic ever since. It's a fun challenge, but it does take longer. Our first year here, we almost didn't wrap up winter at all!
But those days are over. Twilight has been the official WWU Organizer for five years now, and in that time we've gotten it down to a science! Yes WE, of course her #1 assistant was right there with her. Until last year, anyway. Last year I was appointed Chief Snow-Melter. Same for this year. Frozen water COWERS before the mighty fire breath of Spike the Dragon!
More on that in a bit. Anyway, we do Winter Wrap-up over a three-day weekend a few weeks before it's scheduled in other places. That way it's done and out of the way, so ponies can plan for spring stuff early. And it gives us more time to fix things in case we ever DO get behind. Some winters we have a couple snows after it wraps up, but it's small stuff that lasts a day. With WWU behind us, we can just have those days to play in the snow. I really like the system, and so does Ponyville.
I said earlier I'm chief Snow-Melter. Since last year, I'm in charge of the snow team. This year I wanted to try something. I had the field ponies roll all the gathered snow into 2 piles. We went to help the other teams get done faster, because EVERYONE was going to participate in my plan.
We finished everything else early Sunday afternoon. Then Twilight, Mayor Mare, and I took all of Ponyville to the field. We handed out snacks while I explained my big plan: We were going to have a GIANT snowball fight!
It's the perfect way to end Winter wrap-up! Almost all of Ponyville was on board, so we had a huge army. We split into 2 teams and spent a couple hours building epic snow forts and piles of snowballs. Then came the fun part.
We threw SO MANY snowballs at each other! Everypony on my side got hit at least once. I was at the front so I got hit like 20 times. We also sent some Snowldiers (haha) out to knock down the other fort.
There was no clear winner because we all ran out of snowballs pretty quick. It was also starting to get dark. But we had some ponies working on a slingshot that totally would have turned the tables if we had time.
Once that was all over, it was time for my job. I did a giant fire breath like when I was at the Equestria Games. And the snow was gone. Winter Wrap-up was over! We cheered.
I'm really glad my snow fight idea worked. If we can keep doing that, I think winter wrap-up will be my favorite weekend of the year!
Our resident journalist Featherweight took pictures of the whole event! Here's me in my Snow Team vest and the snowball fight.

Post - PPParty Thursday
Happy Thursday! I’ve gotta say, I’m really starting to like this new system thing. I’m writing this letter different from last time — now it’s connected to a typewriter. Before I wrote it by claw, like a real-life letter. I can type even faster than I write, so doing this and taking notes has been a breeze.
Speaking of notes, I need to tell you how this is going over at the school. The kids are LOVING it! They’ve even got some ideas of their own. They did something that was pure genius — take a giant shared note they can all write on at the same time. Some of the teachers aren’t sure shared notes will really help. But Rainbow Dash and I are all for it.
The students sure aren’t the ONLY fans of Magicshare. It’s been blowing up all over Equestria! Especially in Manehattan and the Crystal Empire. It’s catching on in the Changeling Haven too, and I’ve even seen a few savvy griffons setting up Magicshare stores. I never would have thought of that! My favorite thing is the Party rooms cropping up for long distance conversations.
The Ponyville Express says ponies have been calling the system PPParty or just PPP. The ones that are doing update letters like me are calling them PLOGS. I think it’s like PPP and log squished together. Let me know if I’m wrong or right (remember the new comments thing!). Either way, it’s hilarious. I’m totally calling this a plog now.
This week’s BOOK OF THE WEEK from Twilight is … “Ancient Runes and Wards” by Professor Sandy Excavier. My BOTW is Power Ponies issue 185. They have to escape the Mane-iac without their powers in this one!
That’s all for this update! Signing off until next time —

P.S. Here’s a picture of Pinkie’s invitation for the PPP!

Monday after Pinkie’s Planet Party
Hey guys! This is my first real update (not counting that test letter) using Twilight’s experimental MagicShare Spell system. Don’t worry, old-timers. I’m still going to be updating with quill and parchment, but this way my scrolls will be saved in a more permanent way.
By the way, did any of you happen to save my old letters? I want to get them saved on magicshare too. Shoot me a letter if you know where I can find those. Thanks ahead!
Now to the gem of this update! Hopefully this isn’t your first encounter with magic scrolls. My friend Pinkie Pie just hosted Pinkie’s Planet Party, and if all went well, all of you saw the invitation. What did you think of it? Write me back with your opinions. Twilight also put a feature into magicshare so you can write me back right below this letter! I will say something in the Comments section so you see where it is. And you should write your own comments too!
So. Pinkie’s Planet Party. I thought it was AWESOME. If that was your first Pinkie party, I better explain. Usually they aren’t that short. But they ARE all that LOUD. Pinkie loves nothing more than to connect with people, and she definitely achieved that yesterday! I think we had something like 200 ponies accept in the first few minutes. And we peaked at over a thousand people all over the WORLD. (Good thing, since it was Pinkie’s PLANET Party!) My favorite thing had to be hearing the music come through the magic scroll. It sounded so weird but so cool!
I wasn’t a fan of the way the Magicshare turned everything all pink. Twilight says it’s just because it’s her aura. She’s working on getting it to full color when she gains better mastery of the spell. That’s also why we had to cut it short after 20 minutes. Twilight was pretty tired holding that thing up. I’ll let you all know when she gets better with magic scrolls so we can do more with the new system!
And I’ll try and convince her to add a feature that lets you magicshare food. Nopony should go without trying one of Pinkie Pie’s famous cupcakes! ‘.^
That’s it for this letter. Until next time, thanks for reading! Signing off, this is
