Wet Kisses
Today was probably one of the longest days Ive had in a while. Our niece came over for the day. I will be watching her about twice a week for some jingle in our pocket.
I started writing that on Thursday night, it’s now Saturday afternoon. I was so tired, I fell asleep somewhere around 830. Friday was full of adventures. My niece was over again and this time the wife was home to help out with all four kids. We played outside in the kiddie pool (we got the grass mowed this time) and we had a big sprinkler set up where the kids could go and run under it. Everyone had a blast. Even the wife and I enjoyed some fun in the sun. I like when we can get silly and just enjoy each others company. Sometime I miss when it was just us two, but I know our three girls have helped us through some of the roughest times of our relationship.
Friday morning was also a huge day for us in regards to Alyx, but that needs it own post. When I feel like I can go deeply into it, I will share.
Our niece got to spend the night Friday and she had such a great time, she passed out on the couch while we were watching a movie. Now, time to relax the rest of our weekend and enjoy some family time. It is a new week come tomorrow!!

Jenga.
Tumblr media
On my first day on the job of staying at home, Charlee and I played some Jenga. She had never played before, so she was eager to learn. She kicked my ass. I adored the way she was so careful taking each block from the stack, even the ones from the top. Her eyes lit up every time she successfully removed one. Of course, all this happened while the twins were taking their morning nap. I tried to stick to a routine, but like every new job, it will come with time. I dont think anyone knows how to react this week. I am not rushing around, getting everyone ready for school and daycare, and forgetting my keys in the house while trying to get out of the door. So far, this is my third day as a stay at home mom and I am enjoying the time I get to spend with my family. I get to help Alyx with her meltdowns and teach her new things at her own pace. I get to teach Dani new things and get to coach her with new words. Charlee and I get a lot of bonding time as well. My favorite part, I must admit is being home when my wife walks in the door. Even though I know she has a lot on her plate, especially now, I feel peace knowing she chose to come home to a sometimes, chaotic house. I know there will be days where the chaos will be over bearing, but I couldnt ask for more than someone to WANT to come home to me and our kids.

Tomorrow
I never thought I would be a stay at home mom. I have always been the person working and earning income to contribute to the family. Tomorrow I start my journey as a stay at home mom with no income being generated. I am nervous beyond words. I know some days will be hard. I know other days will be fun. I can’t wait to watch my babies grow up in front of my eyes. I also am dreading the days when the finances are tight and something is taken out out on me just out of pure frustration of the situation. Hopefully that day will never come.
Tomorrow will be the start of something new. I know I am in over my head, but I know in my heart, I am in over my heart. My heart is already overflowing with all the love I am feeling just thinking about watching my girls reach new milestones.
