id actually really like to hear what people think of this one

for me, and this is coming from someone who's in pit so bear with me here, i think it just depends on the group and the people and i dont think either one is better i think theyre equal

sometimes I think about quitting my high schools’ marching band and joining corps

every now and then i think abt that poor tuba player in i think phantom regiment's show this season [maybe mandarins i forgot] who tripped and fell and literally folded their bell in half. crumpled. shaped like a croissant. poor guy

the boston crusaders deserve to win finals this year. the bluecoats prerecorded/played back half their music to make themselves sound better...not to mention the fact that the crusaders show is just more interesting.

The closest theater showing Big Loud and Live to me is 30 minutes away which wouldn't be a problem if I wasn't scared of driving on major roads and also didn't have to worry about my car randomly shitting itself

I just want to watch the cool marching people 😔

don't you hate if when you run a lap, chug water, get overheated, almost pass out, and throw up all the water you just drank in less than two hours.

it's a huge shame that the Colts' outfits are so horrible (in my opinion) this year. their show would easily be my favorite if their outfits were good...then again I think that every year.

he's graduated now, but for a few years this guy's full legal name [first middle last] was a joke in the band. I don't even know how it started.

My friend somehow convinced like everyone in our colorguard + a few band peeps that my real name was Neil for a whole year. I'm not even male

I feel bad for the people shown in the bloopers for Mandarins 2025 but the metal pipe falling sound effect memes are kinda funny

I usually really really dislike the Blue Devils' shows, mostly because of their bad color schemes or overall boring composition. This year, however, I actually enjoy their show! Their outfits are coherent and I like the music... they get extra points from me for using 'Uninvited' by Alanis Morissette because it's one of my favorite songs lol

there are two types of dci fans that make me seriously so mad

1: the ones who act like its a bad thing to march open class or all-age or not want to go world / top 12 2: the ones who are, somehow, homophobic / transphobic / xenophobic

you are literally in dci. one of the most accepting and welcoming sports ive ever seen [marching band as a whole tbh]. ive heard of countless people getting literally banned from dci every year for being transphobic and xenophobic and homophobic. what is wrong with you and how do some dci fans not understand that people are in marching band just for the love of the sport??? ive seen people mock jersey surf for getting low scores and think its weird to want to march there when their shows look so FUN.

you dont have to be in a top 5 corps to love marching band and you dont even have to want to be in top 12. your dream corps can be literally any corps even if its an all-age or open class or bottom world class. if your dream corps is genesis or cascades or jersey surf or any bottom corps? i love you

We were waiting for a parade to start and I was on my phone. I went to throw my food in the trash, with the trash in one hand, and my phone and water bottle in the other. The phone slipped out of my hand and fell. into. the sewer grate. that I was standing on. I cried and was traumatized. people still make fun of me for it. especially as one of the flipping drum majors😭😭 (I got my phone back dw)

A kid who was right there when it happened lifted the lid off of the grate and reached down in there and got it. The parents ended up having to clean off his jacket😭
