It's beautiful. But I bet it will leak on his pants. Another former Trident owner

This one might have been mine. It was heading this way when last seen.

The "bug eye" Sprite was the first sports car I ever drove. I've been chasing that experience ever since.

1958-1961 Austin Healey Sprite at Fuelfed Coffee and Classics in Winnetka, Illinois.
This may be the only car whose face looks happier than a third generation Mazda MX-5′s (Miata). They look much smaller in person than in photos. It’s wheelbase is only about 11 and a half feet long (about 3.5 meters). That’s about a foot and a half (a little less than half a meter) shorter than a first generation MX-5 (Miata). It’s powered by a 948 cc inline-4 cylinder engine that produced only 43 horsepower (32 kW), but it’s widely regarded as one of the most fun cars that you can drive, proving that speed and power aren’t necessary for a car to be good.

I never knew how to pronounce this car's name until I met a pretty girl of the same name.

In 1971 I bought one of these for $500.00. After putting a new head gasket and fixing the starter I drove it all though college and several years beyond until the frame rotted out. I kept it for 5 more years hoping something (affordable) could be done for it. I finally had to let it go. Now I can't afford another.

I owned one of these for 25 years. Like an Italian woman, their looks take a little getting used to but there is no finer companion.
I thought I wanted to give up riding so I gave her to a relative who is doing a long term restoration. I hope to woo her back some day.

I owned several Triumphs over the years. Great fun but all apparently built using rubber bolts. Giant gaps would appear all over the cars as they wiggled down the road. My TR6 finally had a removable hardtop. It felt like a new car. The roof held everything together. I hated taking it off in the spring. But I had to. It's a sports car after all.

I had a new one of these turkeys. It broke down on the way home from the dealer and every 50 miles thereafter. It gave my wife and I stomach ulcers. Traded away after 9 months. Renault had better not come back here.
