Don’t imagine the aftermath of Pearls death.

Don’t imagine Grian and Gem, on the run from the whole server fighting tears and pretending they are okay.

Don’t imagine Gem and Grian digging a hole in the ground as a desperate attempt to at least survive to give Pearl the send off she deserved.

Don’t imagine Grian and Gem blaming themselves over and over again, maybe if Grian hadn’t set off Gems trap then Pearl would still be here, maybe if gem went with her to find Jimmy then Pearl would still be here.

Don’t imagine them having to flea the funeral and leave her behind in fear of their own lives.

Don’t imagine Gem and Grian returning to the base to salvage any supplies left and finally agreeing with Pearl that the lighthouse was the worst thing they have built.

Don’t imagine Grian and Gem returning to their bunker in deafening silence, both unsure what to say or do.

Don’t imagine Gem and Grian curled into each other in the cold, scared and alone.

Don’t imagine Villie showing up to the bunker in search for Pearl not understanding why she would ever leave Villie behind.

Don’t imagine Grian and Gem taking Villie in, the last piece of Pearl they have left.

Dont imagine Gem and Grian protecting Villie with their lives because that’s what Pearl would do.

Dont imagine them finding eachother culed into Villie crying into her fur and not saying anything about it to each other.

Don’t imagine the nighttime missions to retrieve Pearls roses from the lighthouse and lay them at her grave.

Don’t imagine Gem and Grian keeping a rose each and not telling the other.

Don’t imagine Grian pinning a rose to his shirt and Gem braiding one into her hair.

Don’t imagine the rose garden they hide and keep alive because Pearl found them pretty.

Don’t imagine Gem and Grian becoming angry and aggressive, turning in on the entire server, including Etho and Scott who claimed to be allies since day one.

Don’t imagine Grian, Gem and Villie becoming unreasonable and cold.

Don’t imagine Gem and Grian finally getting revenge on everyone.

They messed up. They killed the voice of reason within the Villies. They killed the best of them. They killed the one who told Grian and Gem not to kill that person or set up that trap. They killed the Villies Pearl, the most important thing to them and now, now what remains of the Villies will make them pay the price.

istg the life series fandom runs on making up bullshit based on nothing, why has everyone collectively decided the villies didn't appreciate Pearl? The whole time I've been watching them, the villies have seemed like one of the most mutually supportive and close-knit teams, and it brought me so much joy watching them working together and supporting each other without any drama, unlike most life series teams. and then I log on here and everyone is saying it's the exact opposite. I don't fucking get it.

thinking about how they hold the only funeral thus far that wasn’t covered in traps.

thinking about how grian says that he doesn’t know what to do now, and gem just says “i know”.

thinking about how they ask if they should have protected her more. thinking about how the answer is yes, but they couldn’t have known.

thinking about how they thought pearl would just invisibly shoot from afar. thinking about how they led her to her doom, but hoped to draw attention away from her all the same.

thinking about how they didn’t save her.
