was devastated to find out the Corvus x Soren ship name is sorvus not SorCor because you all know damn well that Soren would have chosen something silly like that if it was his choice

humor me real quick:

You know that scene: "Was that your left or my left?" "We have the same left." You know what would make it even funnier?

If Edwin also sucked with differentiating his lefts and rights and well Charles just never realized and Edwin had kinda just gone with it since they met.

Anyway it's one of those things that are small and innocent at first and then gets outta hand so fast and then it just festers away for years (or decades).

"Charles can you pass me the book on paranormal infections? Its on your right- no, no your other right, Charles."

Charles swears he remembers being bad with directions when he was alive but was he really this bad? But he shrugs it off like how his sense of time is completely whack now so maybe his sense of direction is also leaving him? (he knows that doesn't make sense but honestly what other reason is there?)

It only comes to light when some 30 years later Crystal joins them and actually spends time with the two of them while they're just being themselves.

"Charles, please pass me the jar on the left, no Charles the left one- the smallish purple one, please."

"Hold up Edwin, Charles clearly just picked up the left jar, what the fuck man. Are you fucking with him,"

And it finally clicks for Charles. Memories of "sorry mate, the other left." and "left- fuck no right. Argh just- this way." and "that one on that side over there, um left, i think, no? fuck." that he shared with Edwin.

And the worst part is that its so ridiculous Charles can't even pretend to be mad.

"Mate, you have gotta be honest with me right now. Have you been fucking with me for 30 years? What the fuck I knew my sense of direction wasn't nearly that bad."

Edwin has the audacity to look ashamed when he clearly knew exactly what had been going on and knew exactly when it started. His face was red and drawn into a grimace and he'd straightened out his posture and squared his posture back it's usual rigid shape, almost as though he was getting ready to defend himself from-

"Charles, you have to understand that I started it believing you were merely humoring myself, and that you would one day break and finally tell me off for it. Only you never did. After being together for two years-"

"After being together for two years what the fuck, Edwin. And i was just supposed to assume you two weren't a thing when I met you."

"- did I realize you were being genuine and thought it was yourself who was challenged not me. Charles you must realize that even though I did trust you so much, back in those early days, I was so afraid to do anything that would make you want to leave. Charles I promise I never meant for ot to get quite so out of hand, I just wasn't sure how to tell you-"

"Hey, hey Edwin, 'm still here, mate, aren't I? Just think it's funny that I realized that it seemed like my admittedly shite sense of direction got worse after I died and my first thought wasn't 'Hey maybe Edwin is also shit with directions' but, 'it must be some ghost rule again.'"

"But surely you're mad, Charles, it's been 30 years that I have abused your trust in me." Edwin is tenser now (if that's even possible) his fists are grinding so hard- and Charles knows that ghosts can't break bones but seeing Edwin so nervous is actually hurting him more than the actual topic of conversation.

Charles takes the last step towards Edwin and grabs hands in his and smooths his fingers over Edwin's knuckles in what he hopes is a soothing action to Edwin. "I told you mate. 'm Not mad, I'm actually a little impressed. All these years thinking it was all me when really it was both of us? Makes me happy Edwin, it's just another thing we share."

Anyways I just think it would be super cute if they both suck at directions. Crystal becomes a resident GPS and director for the agency "nope not that way loverboys," "I said 'go right', there is literally a wall on the left, why the fuck would I say left, Charles." "Edwin, the map said left, not right, where are you going."

charles slowly realizing his feelings for edwin is great, but i now propose: charles realizes his feelings practically immediately after edwin's confession but now thinks it's awkward to tell him so soon so he just waits but gets increasingly worse at hiding it

bug boy Charles is actually so important to me y'all don't even KNOW

we only really see him interact with the jar of bees, fair, but i truly think he would LOVE the little things -> like- just imagine him finding bugs to show Edwin and being so gentle as he cradles them. or being ELATED that he doesn't have to worry about being poisoned anymore

imagine Edwin hunting down books on entomology so he can share fun facts about them and share in his best friend's interest [even if he personally doesn't like them]

ALSO LIKE-??? CHARLES WOULD BE SUCH A GENTLEMAN TOWARDS THEM??? ↓ saying things like: "alright, little lady, out you go" when he needs to take care of wayward spiders? or "well aren't you a proper sight?"
