i know we are little freaks so this probably isnt holding as much value, but does anyone else get unnecessarily aggravated with those people who are so vehemently against saying bless you? like they talk about it when its not even brought up because it bothers them so bad lol

i dont care if random people dont say it, its the aggressiveness about it 😭 like there are so many thinkpieces on tiktok where people ramble on and on about how bless you shouldnt be a demand in society anymore to be seen as polite because its completely useless

and while i agree because i think we have now passed the point of saying bless you to expel the demons, i think for the general public, it just feels nice to hear and say it. thats all. people like to be acknowledged, its how we are

and with the religious connotations aside, it ties into micro-affections, but that is a different rant

cute sort of bf obs because i like him (no sneezing this time but we do have sneeze talk up in here)

we had friends over tonight, we were both sneezing quite a bit during the day (it feels like hayfever season here never ends) but symptoms tend to settle down once we are in for the night

i was feeling a lot better now (because i do take my allergy medication when i should unlike some other people i know) but he was still sniffling and rubbing his eyes ever so often

he was sitting on the and couch doing his own thing (and moping a little bit, because he is still a man) when our friends got here. i got up and i went to go answer the door and he followed me to come say hello once they were walking in (but is still making quite the show of being sluggish and weary about everything)

one of our friends takes one look at him and immediately goes, “woah, are you crying?”

i think she was half-joking (thinking he would make a stupid joke back, as he tends to do) but he didnt seem to detect it and was really quick to reassure her that he wasnt crying. he reaches out and touches her wrist and he goes, “oh, no no no! ive just been sneezing all day. its probably gonna happen again but you chose to come here, so…sorry!”

i lightly whack him on the arm while our friend tells him about how she can endure the sneezing because we happen to have the best flat and the best couch in the group

literally every single type of weird trigeminal response always happens to me (the mint thing, the cold air, cinnamon, vibrations) except for the cutest one (the sun) which happens to my bf, but none of the other things that happen to me happen to him

if anybody else feels this way, let me know, because i always find it kind of strange and i feel like maybe i cant get this across very well but im still going to try my hardest to make it make sense

for me, the kink isnt totally something that i would want to engage in during sex. its a sexual thing, obviously, but more in a way where it turns me on and endears me. almost like being there or possibly engaging in conversation about sneezing with a partner is akin to sex, because it still brings me sexual pleasure

i see being sexual and having sex as seperate entities that can be connected but dont have to be. you can be sexual without it being intercourse or leading to intercourse. thats more what it feels like for me, if that makes sense

little bf ob collection from the last few days. he sneezes quite frequently so i decided to put the obs into one post instead of 10 thinkpieces like i usually do. (but i will still do the thinkpieces as well, i like talking about him)

1.

me, him, and our friend were standing around in her kitchen talking while we helped her make dinner. we were hanging out at her flat that night and watching an autumn movie for the first day of autumn (we are big autumn/halloween people)

my boyfriend and our friend were talking while i was over on the other side of the kitchen in my own world doing something with noddles. i was suddenly snapped out of my little noddle trance when i heard him sneeze while talking to her

his sneezes sound the same almost every time, kinda high-pitched, like “hh'shhiew” but not in a too girly or kitten sneeze-ish kinda way, his voice is pretty deep and that comes through so it does sound a little bit less kittenish but its still a cute-sounding sneeze for a grown man 😭

i look over my shoulder and yell “bless you!” and our friend says it at the same time

he says, “thank you, thank you!” which he has never said before and i thought was cute. like it was one for each of us. he then turns back to her and laughs and says, “oh! im so sorry, continue.” because he had interrupted her by sneezing. the urgency in which he says it is so dorkily cute. like, its not a big deal but he says it as if its a very dire situation, or he’ll be reprimanded if he doesnt tell her that its okay for her to keep talking now??

he sneezes quite a lot so he doesnt really have any hang-ups or embarrassment about it, except for when it “affects” other people (ie: interrupting conversations), then he gets kinda embarrassed and over-apologetic

she just laughed and said, “youre fine!” and they kept talking evidently about which autumn movie we should watch. (we settled on when harry met sally, if anyone was interested)

2.

we were sitting on the couch watching tv before bed, he was halfway lying on top of me and i had my arm around his waist, kinda locking him in. so he was basically the little spoon this time, please dont tell him i told anyone though

i was falling asleep until he turned as far away from me as he could with my arm around him to sneeze into his elbow. i bless him then i close my eyes again because im still kinda half asleep

he says, “shit, sorry. i woke you up.”

i say, “no, you didnt.” he absolutely did

he says, “yeah, i did,” and kisses me on the cheek. we both fell asleep after that

3.

more sleepy sneezes; always a hit

this time we were lying in bed, he was trying to sleep and i was working on my laptop

he’s one of those weirdos who likes to have tactile reassurance of me being next to him as he’s sleeping, so his back is pressed up against my side. i dont mind it though because im kinda like that too. we dont really really snuggle in bed, so i always just have my leg hooked around his or something like that

so im busy typing, work work work blah blah blah, when i feel his breathing get kinda weird

i instinctively look over at him and watch as he sneezes uncovered (i dont think i had ever seen him not cover before) so i was staring a bit and taking that in for a moment 😭

i say bless you, habitually, not thinking about him being half asleep. he just mumbles “mhm” like he acknowledges that i said something but has absolutely no idea what it was

so, my boyfriend is photic in the way that he always sneezes literally every time he goes out in the sun as opposed to just looking at the light/sun when you already have to sneeze which i find kinda adorable…he finds it aggravating to no end

today, we went and saw a movie together. as we were leaving the theatre, literally the moment we walk out the door, he immediately looks up as if it will miraculously not happen this time around. it does happen…obviously

he turns away from me and sneezes twice, soft “iihish’uh! hh'shhiew!” sneezes. he fully lets them out but theyre still fairly quiet. not like total kitten sneeze soft and quiet but high-pitched and ‘girly sneeze for a man’ level soft and quiet (affectionately) 😭

he gets annoyed like he doesnt know how that couldve possibly happened. fighting off a smile because he sees me about to start laughing, he goes, “it happens every fucking time!”

i do start laughing through saying bless you. he rolls his eyes and mutters, “yeah yeah thanks.”

still laughing like idiots, i ask, “why do you always look then?”

he says, “i just have to. like an eclipse.”

“you look at those too?” i ask. of course he does

“i have to. fear of the unknown.” he says. i think he’s half kidding but i wouldnt be shocked if not

i playfully swat him on the shoulder and he does the same back to me and says, “fine! i wont look up next time!” and i know he absolutely will look up next time…and every time after that

anyone on here who has done allergy shots, what is your opinion/experience?

my allergist recommended them. she said she tends to anytime anaphylaxis is a possibility

i have a severe cat allergy, general vicinity to cats for a certain amount of time; probable and most likely anaphylaxis. that has happened once before, but i do carry an epipen just in case and i always have, though i have only had to use it the one time. she said that the shots can extend the amount of time i could possibly be around a cat before it gets to that point

im also chronically ill, i have anaemia and mcas, and i hear the shots really knock some people out and make them very fatigued the day (or even two days) after getting them, so im not sure if it would be worth it for me if it makes me more exhausted than i already am at my baseline somedays

those who have tried them, what are your guys’ thoughts? im torn and generally very indecisive

another crazy thing about me having this kink is that i have pretty bad misophonia. im autistic and sensory issues have always been one of my worst symptoms of my autism and i got my misophonia diagnosis a few years after my autism diagnosis

very mundane things are nails on a chalkboard to me, including coughing and sneezing. but its like it comes and goes with the sneezing aspect of it. sometimes kinkiness wins and sometimes misophonia does…or something

maybe it depends on my surroundings or my overall mood that day already, but sometimes i can be turned on by my boyfriend sneezing and sometimes it happens at just the wrong time that i instinctively grit my teeth because the first thing that comes into my brain is shhhhh!

earlier today my boyfriend and i were going to hang out with a group of friends, we both have pretty bad allergies and he mentioned once that his nose tickled while we were leaving our house and walking to his car. he rubbed his nose for a few minutes while he was driving before he started sneezing

im not very good at spelling sneezes, so i dont know how well i can capture them, but he has a pretty standard sneeze sound but higher-pitched than most of the men ive heard sneeze in the past lol. like hiihish’uh or hh'shhiew sneezes, usually its two with the chew part more dragged out after the second one

this helped me realise i that apparently i have a weakness for sneezing when its sunny outside and the light just catches their face to where you can see the spray. he covered but haphazardly so i could still see the spray mist his arm

he sneezed twice, i blessed him once because they were one right after the other, you know the deal; a blanket bless you. he thanked me and then immediately started telling me about how having a sneezing fit while he’s driving is his biggest fear (the innerworkings of the brain of somebody without anxiety is enigmatic)

(random but i especially love how he thanks me when i bless him like he doesnt even think about it. the “excuse me, thank you” and the comment about how he is scared of sneezing while driving seemed like it was practically one run-on sentence)
