CAW related question - please help!

So I’m on the EA app and I’m editing a world with CAW, I however can’t get EIG to open no matter what I do. I know this is a common issue, but I also know people are making it work and I just wanna know how.

I have tried a batch file from mod the sims (the one where you’re supposed to drag the world you wanna edit on top of it) but it ofc doesn’t work for me. If it “works” the launcher pops up but that’s it, nothing else happens.

Both the EA app and my game are updated with the latest versions.

THE SIMS 3 STORE PRE-INSTALLED

Today marks 25 years of The Sims. Since EA forgot TS3 exists, I’m releasing the entire The Sims 3 Store as an Anniversary Gift. It's all pre-installed and works flawlessly!

It comes with all available fixes and collection folders I’ve personally created for every set. You'll get over 5000 new Buy/Build and CAS items, 11 new worlds, and tons of new gameplay!

INSTRUCTIONS

Go to "Documents/Electronic Arts" and rename the "The Sims 3" folder (or move it).

Create a new folder and name it "The Sims 3" (or whatever the name is in your language).

Extract the contents of the ZIP file in "The Sims 3." Now launch the game.

You'll have to adjust your setting again. Don't forget to disable the in-game Store so you don't get duplicates.

Quit the game. Copy the "Saves" folder from the folder you have previously renamed. You can also copy your Mods and CC in package format.

CAUTION

Never copy over or overwrite the DCCache folder.

If you have content installed through the Launcher (Sims3Pack), you'll have to reinstall it.

I strongly recommend you don't install things through the Launcher from now. It already has a lot of content and it is a known fact the Launcher becomes more and more unstable the more content it has to handle.

Since the entire Store has been decrapified, if you want to install lots or world that contain Store content, you'll have to decrapify those too using MATY's TS3 Recompressor.

I had a report that there was an invisible top in CAS. It doesn't seem to have a CASP resource so it shouldn't cause any issues (like being assigned to a random Sim). It's best to avoid it or hide it or blacklist it using NRaas mods. Do NOT try to save the game while your Sim is "wearing" this invisible top.

UPDATE #1: MARCH 2025

Added some missing content: the Mother Russia CAS Set and the Cool Chap Cap that was given as a secret bonus item in the "Make Me an Offer" page. If there's something else missing, please let me now.

Now NRaas MasterController and the Cheats and Integration modules are included in the pack. This version NRaas MC comes with CAS Compact Mode enabled by default. This should fix the issue of blank/invisible CAS items and also speed up the loading of CAS items. Keep in mind, these mods aren't compatible with Lazy Duchess' Smooth Path, but you can have both. Her mod will automatically disable the fast loading of CAS items.

The way I like to play is all about letting sims do their own thing and following their goals, making their own stories, and kind of just seeing where the game (or rather mods) take me. It’s more fun when things happen unexpectedly, and it helps keep the game from getting boring!!

Mindset: Before you do anything major in the game - ask yourself “would this actually happen in real life?” Does it make sense for your sim’s current situation? How would it fit into their story? Try to treat your sims like they’re real people with emotions, goals, and limitations!!

Housing: Don't purchase a fully decorated perfect little house, always move your sims into either empty lots or shells and fill them up over time! We are allowed to move If a house was built up rags to riches style we are allowed to ‘sell’ it for it’s full price If moved into a shell we won’t get money for the property from moving out Repairs must be made using the ‘repair’ interactions or hiring a service 'replacing' is not allowed For every lot challenge we can put one lot trait that brings in a positive - Simple Living lot trait has to be applied Wants & Fears: Try to complete at least one want before each refresh Fears do not have to be conquered Try to complete the heirs Bucket List - Bucket List goals have to be randomized If in a midlife crisis pay extra special attention to those goals!! Personality: Aspirations - Randomized allowed to re-roll the aspiration after each birthday! Sims 4 Aspiration Generator Traits - Randomized Personality Discoveries have to be decided by the yes or no wheel Yes No Picker Wheel - Get Yes or No Answer by Spinning

Jobs: Not allowed to take Phone Job opportunities For the heir try to pick a ‘open career’ e.g. Small Business, Freelance, etc. - Allowed to do Odd Jobs/Side Hustles/Part-time Jobs Career has to align with the sims’ personality You are allowed to apply for goverment benefits Spouses/Partners: No moving in until Sim gets the want or Partner proposes it - Partner does not bring in money from moving in!! No Engagement/Marriage until Sim gets a want or partner proposes it - If Partner proposes moving in/marriage/engagement the yes or no wheel has to be spun Yes No Picker Wheel - Get Yes or No Answer by Spinning Wicked Whims: Random Sex offers have to go through the yes or no wheel - established partners can just accept/decline Seductive Looks have to go through the yes or no wheel Pregnancy: If one, or both, Parents do not want a child the yes or no wheel has to decide Yes No Picker Wheel - Get Yes or No Answer by Spinning - If the wheel says yes to terminating the Pregnancy but we do not have money to terminate it the pregnancy will go through!

Offspring: Naming: Go down the ABC per Sim Traits: Always randomized - unless you have an established idea for the sim Heir can be whoever we vibe with the most Lumpinou Mods: Interactions have to always be decided by fate Death: If a Sim dies we are not allowed to plead for their life Cannot bring a Sim back from the dead No interactions with ghosts unless the Sim is very into the Paranormal Wheel of Drama Can be used whenever you're bored! SORRY FOR THE BIG TEXT !! This time i will put a limite because i still have requests to finish , also this time i will not accept the free ones , sorry ! BUT I WILL EXPLAIN WHY , i know i dont need to explain myself , but converting is my work this time , and i need to pay bills, I swear I tried to convert everything before opening the orders, but I live with my parents, normally if I have problems, my parents help me by paying what I can't, so I can pay later, but my father is in a tight spot due to some personal problems, which I won't go into the background, so I decided to open with limited orders and in order not to overload myself I won't accept free orders, BUT IT'S ONLY THIS TIME!!!

How to make the request;

Before making the request on Ko-Fi send me a dm with what you are interested in requesting, so I can see if it's something I can convert or not. If you want requests a big request , you can make a doc with the itens if you thing is better <3

After that you can make the request on my Ko-Fi (JUST IF YOU MADE A PAY ONE) with the items you decide and the place where I can message you and send the items.

Some observations:

Set/Collections don't count as 1 item (the first time I accepted it and it took a lot of time).

I can't always make all the items recolorable.

Creators like Jius,Gorilla3x,AggressiveKitty, CWB and others like them, I need to see which items you want, some cc's from these creators are very high poly and I can't always convert them.

Objects that i don't convert; Cars, kitchen counters, functional mattresses,Computers,Bathtubs,HotTubs.

Please give me a minimum of 2 hours to decide if i can convert the cc your ask (especially if for something alpha cc)

I have a spreadsheet and a drive folder (sometimes i delay to updated , i intend to change for a mega folder , to be better) were you can see about my conversions and have acess on all my conversions before i release!

Hi, I'm back ⁓

Maybe many don't remember me, but I used to be vmsims23, a person who liked to convert a lot of hairs (especially for male lol), some buggy clothes, accessories, poses, etc.

I've been sharing my cc via discord and simfileshare as I had to take a break from Tumblr due to a situation that happened (not worth going public about, stepped on it).

I started to miss Tumblr again, and somehow I still find it fun to convert cc I like and share them with you guys, as it's boring to just have them to myself or for a few people ��

 And after a looooooooong absence... here I am again! This time there was a request on GoS for a Marilyn Manson sim and, since I had already started to work on him a few months ago, I decided to take it. So, here we go! :D The sim is packaged with default skin and clothes. The default eye colour I set for him is brown. I'm pretty sure there are also other hair meshes that could fit him, but I couldn't find them for the life of me .____. Clothes are from Late Night and Generations, however, even if you don't have those expansion packs, the game will provide to substitute the missing items with something else. The sim has tattoos that require Ambitions, but I also included a no-tattoos version of the sim. To install, put the .sim file into your Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/SavedSims folder. If you don't have a SavedSims folder, you can create it yourself ^^ Feel free to do whatever you want with him... just, please, don't claim you made him :)
