Remember when I made Rev and Drow meet and said the following thing?

Well, here it is. Took me ages cause for some reason I need to get mentalized before sharing long comics. And of course my weirdo is a possessive fool with Astarion, but he would grow fond of @meanbossart ‘s dude in no time.

The thought of Tumblr having actual employees and a headquarters just doesn’t sit right with me. What do you mean this website isn’t held up by 4 people in a basement with the programming equivalent of 4 sticks and a tarp??? Other websites like Instagram, Tiktok, and Facebook have large HQs and thousands of employees in my head, but Tumblr?? I find it hard to imagine even a handful of people running the website, let alone hundreds or even thousands

if you only want to write smutty drabbles, write smutty drabbles. if you don't want to write smut at all, don't write smut. if you want to write tropes that have been written 85838593929 times, write them. if you've already written a specific trope and want to write it again, do it. if you want to write for a character but feel like there's no demand for that character, do it anyway. don't feel pressured to reach a certain word count, don't feel pressured to stick to a posting schedule. you're literally doing this for FREE, in your free time. whatever YOU want your writing/fanfiction experience to be is valid - it doesn't have to be like everyone else's, and you don't have to cater to what you think people want 🫶🏻

Here, part 2

“The Bear and the mushroom shepherd ram —Chapter 2 (this is an 11 pages comic but tumblr max is 10 images per post :(, luckily this is pretty self conclusive, but I’ll add the last page next anyway)

Some time ago I made a comic about how Rev and Halsin met. Since Rev is my only non-durge character I decided to make a backstory for him. This was their first meeting, Halsin had been researching the mind flayer infection for some time and his messengers told him about a mysterious hermit living in the heart of the mountain, maybe he might know something, maybe he could have something to do with it? Halsin was kidnapped by the goblin camp not long after he started frequenting him, so in this playthrough rescuing him was one of the first things Revna did after arriving at the grove and hearing about the Archdruid's kidnapping.

Rev (them/he) is a spore Druid/urchin wood elf (my favorite kind of Druid) they have horns due to spending the last years of their life living in isolation away from civilization, adopting the likeness of goats and cervines in the heart of the forested mountains. Such is their love for these animals they decided to keep the horns and the singularly colored eyes (also, they miss the weight on their head when not wearing them) Decided to make them a genderless beast because, hear me out, a shapeshifter being connected to nature n’ living away from human costumes studying fungal behavior. What would a being like that need a damn gender for? Nothing, the answer is nothing.

I shared it in parts but now I want it to be easier to read and uninterrupted by goddamn ads. I’ll be doing the same with all the comics I shared like this.

Just in case it helps someone, if you sort through the Startup-y tone of the platform and configure it to your needs (not hard to do, trust me, it´s quite intuitive), Notion is quite good.

Have been using it for a while and love it so far. You can even create cards and tables, lists, blabla. The dream of the OCD writer.

Gonna investigate the possible access issues, but to this day, if you keep your stuff private you can write to your heart's content. EDIT! I'm giving a look to an app called Obsidian right now, and yeah, it doesn't have half as many features as Notion since it's made for storing your written stuff, not for SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) like Notion is, but dude, it stores locally! That means that anything you create there will be saved in the device you're using (inside the folder you chose). Also looks organized af, customizable, and easy to use.

Gonna give it a try.

Everyone: Please please please don't write your books in Google Docs. Frankly don't use Google Drive for personal stuff.

Their terms of service say they take down stuff like content related to terrorism and trafficking, but this Google Sheet was literally a list of movies I'd watched this year and books I'd read.
