also my mom saw the title with the blurb included, and was like "HMMMmmm won't that be isolating to readers? won't that steer people away from it?" and I didn't want to be like no because they're not homophobic 65 year olds, and I also didnt want to explain that there is old man sorcerer butt sex that's pivotal to the plot, so I just smiled really tightly and said "hahaha we'll see!"

So a lot of the strongest polyam criticism comes from people who tried it and it didn't work out (and for that I'm actually very sympathetic) but its really funny when their whole argument is "I was pressured into polyamory by someone I thought I loved and I was told to constantly disregard my own feelings and it was terrible for me so no one should ever do this!!"
