Marry me? (Ben Hardy x Reader)

request: Okay so you know the scene in Borhap where Freddie proposes to Mary? Where it’s just them covered by a sheet and there’s nothing extravagant? Well I would love if you could write something where Ben proposes to the reader just like that?

A/N: I’m in love with this one, thank u for requesting :-) it may be a lil’ short but I still love it !! sorry for any typos + hope you enjoy! requests are open!

The sun beamed into the living room through the sheer curtains, onto yours and Bens’ naked bodies. You both laid there in silence in your bedroom, taking in each other’s company since it’s every once in a while with both your hectic lives. You and Ben have been together for almost two years, and moments like these were priceless to you.

You started thinking about how you’d love to spend the rest of you life with Ben but then became scared. What would happen if he fell out of love? If he just up and left even after everything you’ve been through ?

Ben saw your concerned look and tucked a piece of hair behind your ear. “What’s on your mind, love?” He said, before placing a kiss against your temple.

You turned your face to look into his eyes and smiled. “Nothing, it’s silly” you said, looking back down. He smiled back “oh come on, what’s worrying my girl?”. You sighed before saying “do you think we’ll last forever?” You said, eyes turning slightly glossy at the thought of him leaving

That caught his full attention. He never thought you would think of such a horrid conclusion. Sure, before you guys started dating or even met, he was in a couple, relationships that didn’t end well on both ends of the relationship but when he found you, it was like you sparked something in him that wasn’t the same as the other girls. It was almost like he knew you were the one, the one who would help him through anything and everything, thick and thin.

“(Y/N) look at me” he said, tilting you chin up, so your glossy eyes looked into his. “I love you with all my heart” he said, caressing your cheek with his thumb. You smiled sadly at him, “And I love you Ben”

“Don’t think that for a second I doubted us because I never did. I knew we were going to last ever since I laid my eyes on you” he said, then leaning his head down to peck you softly on the lips.

You closed your eyes when he came in contact with you, feeling a sense of relief after the horrid thought came to mind.

“I have a surprise for you” he said, pulling back the covers to get out of the bed. You scooted up towards the headboard to sit up as he made his was across the bedroom to the dresser, opening his dock drawer and looking back. “Close your eyes and no peeking!” He said, smiling. You giggled a little bit, placing one hand over your eyes and the other holding the covers over your naked top half. You felt the bad shift as Ben came towards you and sat infront of you on his knees.

“Okay now you can look” he said, eager to see your expression. You took you hand off your eyes and gasped. In his palm sat a small velvet box, holding a ring with a small single carat diamond in the center with a golden band. “I was originally going to make a huge proposal plan but I couldn’t wait any longer” he said, scooting a bit closer. You looked up at him, tears brimming your eyes. “Ever since I saw you (Y/N), I knew you were the one for me. You’ve helped me through so much stuff, it’s incredible you still stuck with me through each phase in my life and our relationship. You make me the happiest man on earth to call you my girlfriend but now” he said, taking a deep breath before smiling wider “I’d like to be able to call you my fiancée. (Y/F/N), will you marry me?”

You sat there, still in shock, tears falling down as you nodded your head ‘yes’. He wiped away the tears that had fallen “yes?” Ben asked, almost in awe at how beautiful you still looked in a state of messy hair and teary eyes. “Yes” you laughed as you grabbed his face and crashed you lips onto him. He kissed back with force, and you melted into the kiss.

You pulled away and smiled wide. Ben took the ring out the box and slid it onto your ring finger. “I knew it would look good on you. A perfect ring for a perfect girl” he said, bringing up you hand, kissing the back of it. “I love you, Ben” “I love you too, soon to be Mrs. Hardy”
