"I knew it was nothing serious, Xavier." Kay says, "But, I will admit, I don't like it when you get hurt." She knows it was apart of the job description though. Being a Deepspace Hunter means getting hurt at times. She knew that better than a lot of others.

She feels his hand caressing her hand. She shook her head at his words.

"No, it's okay. It's normal for people to worry, especially when it's the people you care about." She remarks, "But as long as you let me protect you as much as you protect me, then I'll be okay with that."

SHE RAISES AN EYEBROW at his words, quick to turn her further attention from packing to him directly. She was supposed to go on a work related trip for a while so she wasn’t going to be around physically for a few days.

Any smart remark was swallowed down. Her emerald eyes, softening at him, “Just a few day work trip. I’ll be back before you know it.” The smallest of smiles appears on her face as she moves a little closer to him.

“Besides, I’ll text you while I’m gone. It’s not like I’ll be gone gone.” A light poke on his forehead, “And we can do something when I come back.” What has gotten into her lately and being soft around him? It was easier to relax around him whenever she was around him.

She was put through the experiments of Ever by a group that launch the program shortly seeing the results of Subject 001. They hoped to make a experiment that rival the progress of Subject 001, but one that they could control of.

Subject 000 was seen to be in the past life of a god. Seeing this, Ever had attempted to make another version of Subject 001, with her power. She, like Subject 001, was subjected to the battleground that Sylus and MC were. She was subjected to battles.

During this time, subject 000 was angry and hostile to those around her, angered by the experiments and what had been done to her.

The subject to this day, also known as Lynette, has no recollection of this and no knowledge of what happened. Her past is a blur, only remembering things outside after she was taken out of the experiments and survived.
