                       DRAGON HITS 100+ FOLLOWERS

This blog has only been up and running for the past two weeks yet Ryuuji is already finding 139 new followers and as I hoped, many, many new friends &people to meet and interact with! Ahhhh I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to have you guys. I’m so grateful. Thank you very much for the follows, all the people that have sent me nice messages freaking out with me about the resurgence of Toradora roleplayers on tumblr, plotting with me, bouncing ideas around, people that have made things for me [[ again thank you so much for that promo image @firstspot it was so nice of you to do that for me and it looks GORGEOUS ]] & I hope to have a lot more fun with you guys!

The good Lord Kami is testing me

“Yeah, okay? Yes. I was born with this cursed face that makes people apologize to me all the time, run from me on sight, and hand me their wallets. Don’t think I don’t know it.”

He sighed.                    “But for some reason you’re okay with getting to know me before making any assumptions. So for that, thanks.”

Now his own teeth were bared, holding on more desperately because she was so reckless when she was in such a mood, making his fingers curl around her small shoulders and into her clothes as his eyes shut tight and he clamped down on his own temper. His throat ached to yell at her -

to roar

           -- or at least frighten some sense into her

but he couldn’t. At the forefront of his mind were the words she’d called him. Pathetic. 

And sometimes he really thought he was. But she was wrong about one thing.

“You’re not! But how am I supposed to feel if you leave me behind! I can’t let go of you! Of course I trust you - what the Hell is that supposed to mean ?! - just cause I don’t want you to do something foolish?! What do I know about you Taiga? Do you really wanna know what I know? Well fine!”

He released her; if she really wouldn’t listen all he could do was  CHASE HER

“ You’re my neighbor! You live alone but come to eat    over at my house because you miss the taste of    home cooked meals and companionship! You’re    wild, brutal, sneaky, arrogant, cynical, aggressive,    clumsy, childish but also incredibly mature at times,    bad mouthed, shy around certain people, kind,     lack social skills and get misunderstood a lot just    like me! But you’re also loyal, and actually really    fun to hang around with! And afraid of liking a     person in case they let you down --    but have I done that yet? Have I?     Seriously. . . you get on my nerves but would    that ever stop me from being there for you?    The answer’s NO in case you’re wondering! ”

Panting hard he looked away and immediately knew he may have crossed a line or two in some of the things he’d said but. . .

“I know you,” he said quieter, his voice catching.

               “Do you really think I don’t?”

“What? So you can run off and get lost yourself? - NO! Not a chance!” I won’t!

He should have respected her space and maybe he was being big and clumsy and imposing but he was the one thinking logically here! And someone had to in these types of situations! She couldn’t just go running off headfirst into a dark cave with (he couldn’t believe he was even thinking this) possible supernatural entities at play here!

He couldn’t - he wouldn’t let her make a dumb choice like that.

He knew she’d try and bite the hand that was trying to help her. He knew and yet the words still stung - but he’d been bitten enough times by her that it was hardly lasting… and he was even beginning to think such absurdities like maybe this was more a knaw to his fingers than an all out bite…

“Scare me!” his voice rose frowning fiercely down at her as she struggled. “Stop! I know what you are-” he ground out his grip tightening on her just a little more. “Is that what you think I’m trying to do here? Control you?! Isn’t that the pot kind of calling the kettle black - you say I’m your dog, I’m your friend - who’s controlling who here?! And I am Kitamura’s friend! But I’m also-” 

D A M N

His jaw clenched tightly as he let her go and roared in distress-

❝ BUT TAIGA I’M ALSO YOURS!!!!!❞

Was he that easy to read?     Go figure, someone actually knew what it was like to get picked on because of your appearance. 

“Thanks,” he said shoving his hands in his pockets and following her.      “I can take care of myself too but. . . . havin’ a person to watch my back isn’t so bad either.”

Had someone actually heard his grumpy mutterings? His head turned to take in the sight of a woman who seemed to be dressed for a fight.

“Y-yeah?” he asked, flushing and averting his eyes.      “You’ll show me how to celebrate then?”

He wondered if he was prying too much. If it was a family problem or something she wasn’t comfortable talking about. . . he didn’t want to pressure her into talking about anything she didn’t want to. 

     “It was just a thought. I don’t - I bottle a lot of things up too but I’ve been talking to my friends more and more and sometimes that helps. But if it’s too personal I understand-”

Something he’d said must have convinced her because she told him right away what her problem was.

“I’ve done that a couple times myself. It’s nothing to be ashamed about,” he reassured her.

“But that does make it a little harder to walk you home. Whereabouts do you live? If you’re comfortable telling me something like that. I know I’m a stranger you’ve met twice now, so if you don’t wanna tell me - believe me I’ll understand. But I know these parts pretty well. I’ve lived here all my life. If you’re not comfortable with that though - my place isn’t too far from here. It’s small but we do have a working phone. You could call your parents to come get you.”
