azalea's fatal flaw would have to be her skepticism. her father lying to her about her true heritage all those years really did a number on her and because of that-- it's harder for her to trust. this can be misconstrued as her being cynical, but it makes her a good critical thinker. it would take a lot to deceive and manipulate her.

chance's fatal flaw would have to be his anxiety. whether it's due to the fact that he can't ever seem to get enough rest or because he grew up having to walk on eggshells around other people, he is always in this constant state of worry. anxiety is perceived as this negative thing but it isn't always. his anxiety motivates him to take action and warns him when danger is afoot.

once dusk engulfs their surroundings at the end of each day drowsiness is quick to cloud the boy's cerebrum. eyelids are droopy and his head is lolling, but somehow chance is still present enough to understand every word she's saying. ❝ i'm always like this, gigi. ❞ that's a nickname he's sure she doesn't approve of. he snickers quietly to himself before ruffling the frustrated girl's hair as he stands behind her. ❝ it's a shame ambrosia doesn't work as a simple pain reliever. ❞

❛❛ I'M not talking to you when you're like this. ❜❜ a stubborn wave of her hand and gia turned her body to face away from chance. ❛❛ i swear, some days i think you purposely try to give me a headache. ❜❜ her tone was playful, but she kept up the facade of annoyance.

◌ has the power of hypnokinesis. this is the ability to manipulate sleep patterns and even dreams. chance is able to induce sleep or everlasting insomnia on the living.

● chance, when asleep, has the ability to travel through dreams. he can also create dream-like illusions of attacks that are realistic to the point of throwing enemies off guard. he can create illusions that trick people into seeing things that aren't really there.

◌ he can summon things from dreams to the real world ( e.g. ronan lynch of the raven cycle ). he couldn't always control this ability. so he'd wake up after a normal night to find random objects/living things scattered around his room. with practice though, he's been able to retrieve necessities such as food and water as well as weaponry.

● children of hypnos tend to struggle with narcolepsy and sleep walking. this is something chance has struggled with for years even prior to his arrival at camp half-blood. now that he has his wings, chance has been seen sleep flying. somehow he always makes it back to his cabin safely.

◌ he can levitate and fly using his wings. if his constant desire to sleep wasn't already a dead giveaway, the day chance's wings came in during a game of capture the flag was when everyone knew for sure that he was hypnos's son. he was claimed not long after. not only is flying a useful way of getting around, it's a nice advantage to have during battle.
