the thing that confuses me ab the way the ninja are dealing w jay is that. they’ll constantly bring up the fact that his goodness is shattered and that hes different now blah blah. But then still be surprised when he indeed acts like a person that’s shattered their goodness? WHAT DO U WWANT FROM HIM. U KNOW HE’S GOING THROUGH SOMETHING YOU JUST SAID IT YOURSELF!!!!!

And what makes it even worse is that they’re constantly underestimating him and how genuinely smart he is. like ur coming to this guy to get u to the land of lee WHY DONT U JUST TRUST THAT HE CAN GET U THERE. why are u constantly criticising and ragging on him omgggg im mad as hell rn

If I remember correctly, at one point in Skirk's quest, she says she still communicates with Surtalogi through the Abyss from time to time, so he and Ajax must know about each other.

So, at some point during his wanderings through the Abyss after the Fatui, Ajax hears a voice and he knows who it belongs to. He's heard this voice talking to Skirk before; he knows who it is.

Surtalogi: I will kill everything your master loves. She was very careful not to become attached to Teyvat, but you were her mistake. Your death will make her stronger.

Ajax: Okay.

Surtalogi: I'll come and kill you, boy. You're weak, nothing compared to me.

Ajax: So, we're going to fight?

Surtalogi: It won't be a fight, it will be a massacre…

Ajax: Can you come now?

Surtalogi, shocked: What?

Ajax: You heard me.

Anyways, in this au the source dragons have come to the decision to drain all elemental powers since they believe they aren’t being used as they intend them to be, which was to serve the source dragons.
