Carter: last time I went to a party I was kidnapped.

Nina: oh. Well we can hang out here. Maybe watch horror movies? 

Carter: *smiles* thank you. 

Nina: I'm kind of relieved actually. Kyle drags me to the masquerade every year even though he knows I hate it. There's just something about that house, I don't know, it's unsettling? And every year someone gets killed. Like clockwork. But nobody can find the killer. We just live with it, hoping we won't be next.

just a little claudia & alexander thing that transcends through their stories:

claudia is often found in alexander's nightmares even before he knows her.

while claudia would occasionally dream of alex.

the reason for this is because of claudia's gift of intuition, because sometimes she drifts into alex's conscious due to their connection and the years she didn't know him were kind of chaotic and nightmarish.

but with alex is has nothing to do with superpowers. it's more-so to do with the fact that he saved her when she was younger when he was time traveling. so in a way, his face is just an echo in time that she's sensitive to. so that's why she sees him occasionally.

and she will also see him on and off throughout her childhood, teens, and adulthood, before and after she knew of his gift. but that has nothing to do with dreams and more to do with him existing then due to HIS gift.

Rogues is an upcoming urban fantasy interactive fiction game set during Prohibition.

It’s 1925 and you live in a city populated by humans and supernatural creatures alike. It’s the cat’s meow, really, with a seemingly endless amount of speakeasies, parties, and vaudeville shows to attend. And if you’re the enterprising sort, you can carve out a place for yourself in the criminal underground. Everything’s jake, as long as you avoid heat from the watchmen or rival scoundrels.

Though there is the pesky little fact that you have no idea who you are. As a matter of fact, no one knows anything about you. As of three weeks ago, you’re a blank slate.

And you’re not the only person this has happened to.

Find out who you used to be, or make a new name for yourself. It’s up to you.

Create a fully customizable protagonist in terms of gender, pronouns, appearance, nickname, and species.

Choices that will define your character’s personality.

Fall in with a crew of scoundrels and form some found family dynamics (if you wish)

Jess Silva [m / f / nb ]:

They’re the resident schemer of the group and the de facto leader. Together with Kit, Jess plans all of the group’s operations. They love a challenge almost as much as they love a story. When not with the rogues, Jess owns and runs their own bookstore and curiosity shop out of their residence. And for some reason, they’ve taken a liking to you almost immediately, seeing something in you that has been missing in the group.

They have light brown skin, long dark brown hair, and brown eyes. Jess is a vampire.

Kit Stirling [ m / f / nb]

Kit is not only the most fashionable member of the group, they’re also the shrewdest. Kit puts the plans that Jess dreams up into action. And their help is not only limited to their best friend. When anyone in the gang has a problem, it’s Kit they turn to. While they’re fairly popular around town and keep a booked social calendar, their trust is hard to come by. However, there’s a small group of people that can expect unflinching loyalty from Kit. Maybe you’ll find yourself in that circle.

Kit has olive skin, black hair, and particularly dark eyes. They are a faerie.

Darla / Danny Baker [ m / f ]

Rumors persist about D. Though they’re said to have traveled with the circus for years or that they’re the secret child of some duchess, D now performs with a local vaudevillian troupe. That is, when they’re not working with the gang. They’re easily the most secretive member of the group, but might make an exception for you if they think you’re worth entertaining. And oh, they dearly love to entertain.

D has dark skin and hair, brown eyes, and dimples. They are a siren.

Detective Rishi / Ria Mehta [ m / nb / f ]

Detective Mehta is a member of the watchmen and someone the rogues take pains to avoid, though you haven’t been very successful at that lately.They’ve taken an interest in your case, though they haven’t been able to give you any answers yet. They seem to be an earnest person. Still, you can’t help but wonder if there’s something they aren’t telling you.

R has brown skin, dark brown eyes, and dark wavy hair. They are human.
