G-man's role in Opposing Force is the funniest shit to me because he spends the entire game going out of his way to make Shephard's existance as miserable as possible.
For starters, he's first seen staring down at Shephard in the Boot Camp, with it being heavily implied that he was the one who bumped Shephard to the top of the advanced training list.

It's unclear how long ago this took place before the Black Mesa incident, but it had to have been a good while, so I can only assume that G-man was purposefully setting Shephard up to be present at Black Mesa that day because he seemingly saw potential in him. After all, it's very much in character for him to orchestrate things years beforehand, especially if it's for the sake of a potential hire.
Anyway, he appears multiple times throughout the rest of the game, with some moments being more notable than others, the first interesting one being in the chapter 'Welcome to Black Mesa' when he saves Shephard's life.

It's pretty obvious why he does this: Shephard was surely going to die if not for his interference and he clearly values Shephard to some extent. After all, why let the second most capable man in this facility die so soon, before he does anything noteworthy? (Such as preventing a giant, alien worm from crossing over to Earth)
However, we then get to the infamous scene in 'We Are Pulling Out' where he prevents Shephard from leaving Black Mesa with his fellow grunts.
Again, he sees potential in Shephard and doesn't want it to go to waste, so he directly intervenes here and forces Shephard to stay in the facility (who just to be clear, is only 22 years old and at this point is fresh out of military training).
Anyway, his next few sightings aren't much to write home about, so I'll just skip to his final two appearances in the game, starting with him reactivating a nuke.

For context, one of Opposing Force's major plot points is that after most of the HECU pulled out, the government sent Black-Ops soldiers to Black Mesa so that they could plant a bomb, with the plan being to completely destroy the facility. Near the end of 'The Package', Shephard disarms the bomb, only to witness G-man reactivating it a few minutes later.
Now this doesn't directly affect Shephard too much - since G-man was planning to detain him anyway, so Black Mesa being blown up wouldn't put him in any sort of danger - though it does make sense why he does this. Following the resonance cascade and Gordon making it to Xen, Black Mesa no longer serves any purpose to him and, as he tells Shephard later, destroying the facility ties up any potential loose ends.
Finally, there's the end of the game, after Shephard kills the Gene Worm and when G-man captures him. (Here's the full scene if you haven't seen it or forgot what happens)
Other than the destruction of Black Mesa, this moment not only highlights G-man's respect of Shephard (interesting that G-man considers himself to be someone who survives against all odds, a lot of fascinating implications can be taken from that bit of dialogue), but is also arguably the worst possible outcome for him. Unlike Gordon, who at least got hired by G-man and eventually got released from stasis (which, granted, is a terrible situation in its own right), Shephard is seen as nothing but an untrustworthy witness by G-man's employers and therefore seemingly has very little to no chance for ever being hired. He's instead forced to remain in stasis for god knows how long, with no one to accompany him; and even if he was released at some point, everyone he knew and loved is most likely dead by the time HL2 rolls around, so it's not like it would be a particularly happy ending for him either.
Like I said at the start, G-man spends most of this game going out of his way to ruin Shephard's life in just about every way imaginable, and I find that very funny.
Anyway that's the end of my rambling, goodbye.

Intro post ig
Hi hello, it's me, the guy who has an unhealthy hyperfixation on Tom Trench from Hazbin Hotel for whatever reason!
Call me whatever the hell you want (not revealing my actual name because it sucks and i hate it), I'm 18 years of age and male.
My interests/Things I may post about:
Deltarune
Half-Life
Portal
Team Fortress 2
Murder Drones
Digital Circus
Wakfu
Hotline Miami
Doom
(These aren't all my interests btw, just the ones I feel are the most relevant)
Extra info about this blog:
I mostly just post my drawings on here, so if you wanna see them, they're all tagged with 'my art'
My DMs and inbox are both always open, so if you wanna chat or ask me something, feel free to (I'm probably never going to do commissions btw, so please don't ask)
Anyway that's all for now. Bye

I’ve never considered before that Queen might’ve been there after Jevil got his hands on the shadow crystal, but I love the idea. (It probably isn’t the case in canon since Jevil only describes the kings having an issue with him, as opposed to the kings and the queen, but whatever)
Also yea, Jevil would be no match for Queen at her strongest, so if they did have some kind of altercation in the past, he’d definitely be at least slightly weary of her lmao
One of my favourite minor af Deltarune bits is the hilariously inaccurate way that Jevil and Spamton describe Queen and Tenna respectively. Like I get Spamton calling Tenna a criminal makes sense since he's a bitter ex or whatever, but wtf was Jevil's reason for describing Queen's return as "HELL'S ROAR BUBBLES FROM THE DEPTHS" Is he horrified of technology or something? Do tall women make him squirm??
So many possibilities and we many never know…

I feel rather stupid and foolish for not getting a drawing tablet sooner, this shit is SO MUCH BETTER than using the mouse to draw.
Also, whoever invented the drawing glove is maybe my favourite person of all time

Fuck marry kill
The G-Man, Glados, the concept of gravity
Hrmmmmm
Fuck the concept of gravity, marry GLaDOS and kill G-man. (Killing gravity might not be the best course of action and despite how ridiculously fine G-man is, he’s a massive prick and I have an irresistible urge to beat him to death with hammers)
I hope this is a satisfactory answer

One of my TADC headcanons is that when Jax met Gangle for the first time, he was immediately able to tell that she’s a weeb (the neurons in his brain activated the moment they locked eyes) and it ended up being his sole justification for why he torments her all the time
