As perceived by the general public, he kinda DID kill that one guy. (Which he was as horrified as anyone by) seeing as his supposedly functional plan to weaken his enemy resulted in his death. Which as far as I know was never made public to be a fakeout? Although that’s more like, accidental manslaughter as a side-effect rather than murder if it was ever to be brought up in court. I wonder though, if they did try to take Megamind to court over it, would Metroman show up and defend him? Because “Sorry, not dead, so he’s not guilty on this one.” Or would he just let Megamind go to jail because he REALLY don’t want to let people know he isn’t actually dead? Goodness knows the guy never let jail bother him much before.

I think it needs to become common knowledge that "inability to read social cues" can show up as overcompensating.

You don't know how much misbehaviour is allowed, so you become the perfect child who never tests rules.

You don't know if someone is irritated with you, so you'll be extra generous and self-effacing.

You don't know how much is expected of you at work so you'll kill yourself in a minimum-wage job and not notice that nobody else is working like this.

"Hardworking and quiet" should be as much of an autism red flag as "ignores rules and doesn't know when to stop talking". Or why don't we just start using words to communicate so i can stop tracking everybody's eyebrow twitches, that would be great.
