“Let me know how that goes– I’ll laugh if your ass gets arrested.” She shrugged at the mention of Thai, “Was gonna get get a burger but Thai sounds better than whatever concoction Buskin Robbin’s would serve. You’re paying right?” The shifter joked as she stood, heading to the door and zipping up her coat against the burst of cool air rushing at them when she pushed it open.

“I suppose I can since I did suggest it.” Des shrugged, grabbing his army jacket from the bar before throwing it on. He followed her out, shoving his hands into his pockets as they headed down the street. “Anything new in the life of Eli? Please tell me you’re more interesting than I am.”

“If you call me an old man I might have to hurt you.” He spoke sternly though his eyes shone with mirth. “I’m not going to argue with you about how you’re keeping my apartment clean, I certainly don’t mind. I’m just glad you’re here, I was beginning to get lonely.”

“What? Never seen scars before?” Ophelia had been letting off steam at the gym, the sports bra she wore revealing a map of scars that littered the skin across her back and front of her torso. Werewolves healed perfectly, except when the wound was inflicted by a weapon made of silver - a trick that many Hunters and Vampires alike had learnt a long time ago. 

“I’ve seen scars before.” Desmond spoke roughly, grabbing a towel off a rack to wipe his brow. His own tank showed off his scars as well though they were hidden among the tattoos of his arms and back. “You’re not the only one with them. Especially in this town.”

"Hmm, something like that.” He smirked before standing up. “I’m never one to decline a chance to get something to eat. My fridge is empty so I need to pick up dinner anyways. What did you have in mind? There is a new Thai place not far.”

“I like working on cars, building things is relaxing to. A good concert is always nice. If there is a food festival then I’m likely there, I have a big appetite.”

Bloodied | Des & Jon

When he had woken up that morning Des hadn’t expected needing stitches by the end of the day. As a bouncer it wasn’t unusual that he would need to throw a couple rowdy or grabby patrons from the bar. It just didn’t typically end up with said patron breaking a bottle on the bar and stabbing him with it. When they finally managed to settle the man down, one of his coworkers urged him to go to the hospital (after he managed to talk said coworker out of contacting the police). Des did not like that place, they typically asked to many questions and brought up to many bad memories. 

Instead he went to the one person who could help him and he knew would understand. Jonathan Drake. The two weren’t friends, mutual acquaintances at the best. They were both shifters and Des was usually good about being a model member of the community in Red Creek. Which left him standing on the doorstep of the Drake’s home, a towel pressed to his side as it soaked up blood. “Sorry, didn’t mean to bother you this late but as you can see I have a situation.”

“Hmm, probably an animal that can fly. I’ve heard it’s hard to control, a whole new aspect to shifting but I imagine flying itself would be an incredible experience.”

All I’m missing is the ‘si signor’ every time you ask me something or tell me the story about how your day has been.”

“I would say less like a maid and more like a mother visiting her child at college. Which is funny because I’d like to say I’m the more mature of the two of us. Besides I always tell you not to worry about cleaning but for some reason you can’t help yourself.”
