“I want to hear how you’d handle this sort of approach, Marcel.” Zeke muttered his words softly, firmly but sagely. certainly, he knew titan holders aged faster, and the boy seated next to him in the sea of tall library shelves had not yet been given his curse, but sometimes it surprised him how old he sounded. some days it was easy to allow it to feel mature, and other days, it simply felt like another few marches toward his inevitable end. the clock ticked, forever. fingers spread open the map, a craggy mountain with a fort up atop it, filled with Marley’s enemies, and therefore, his and Marcel’s, no matter how little they had been told who these people really were. that wasn’t to be of there concern, as Magath had so often said.

“Which titans would you assign to this mission and where would you station each one? Let’s start there.”

“Here, let me take a look.” Zeke muttered quietly, folding his glasses up and sticking them in the pocket of his pyjamas. careful hands brought the lanky child’s leg up onto his knee, looking at the wound stretching across the top of his shin. “I’m going to clean it up, but it’ll hurt a bit, okay? ... here, don’t tell Magath.” he stretched an arm back into his desk drawer, pulling out a small piece of candy to hand to his younger comrade before he set about opening a first aid kit he’d propped up on his lap. “Deep breath in 1, 2 —” he took breaths with Bertholdt before applying the sterilisation, using as little pressure as he could.

“Do you like the candy? I got them from the sweets stand out in the square.” he murmured before turning his body just a bit under the guise of getting a bit closer to the boy, but truthfully, it was to hide the extent of the wound. No need for him to see how bad it was under all that blood and bruising. “You won’t have to worry about this kind of thing once you’ve inherited the Colossal. You’re doing a good job.” the mumble came out soft as he pulled a bandage taught between his lips.

ooc. hello folks! first off, thank you to everyone who stuck around, i highly appreciate y’all sticking with this blog even through the extended absence. my life had been quick turned upside down in the past few months, and with Zeke being a mentally difficult character to write ( said with as much love as possible ) I gave him a bit of a break. my life is still topsy turvy, so activity will be quite low still, but I am happy to be back with y’all. cheers to monke supremacy 🐒

ok, so – tumblr has chosen to just not work at all. nothing loads, I can’t click most of the dash buttons, and basically all functionality is gone. disabled xkit, logged out/logged in, changed browsers, the whole nine yards and i’m getting zip so – i’m going to try and figure that out with what little brain power i have left.
