it's especially insulting for someone who spends so much time making gay jokes with his male best friend to refuse to affirm trans rights

Okay you're cooking with gas but I felt the need to let people know that Stevie Martin (taskmaster series 19 contestant) has been made aware that game changer exists and has let her agent know about the show and we all need to make that happen please god she's so funny
yeah i know we've all thought of brennan as a contestant on taskmaster but. what about .let alex horne as a contestant on game changer. he would do numbers

And also English people, especially if you don't "sound" British enough for the American palette are treated ruthlessly in the states (at least when I first came here many years ago). When I first moved to the US everyone from teachers to fellow students treated me like dirt because I wasn't "actually" British and I didn't "sound it". (My accent is mostly brummie with a dash of black country dialect for flavor)
And the teachers within my first year of moving to the us were especially ruthless in their bullying and separating me as "The dumb European", my language arts teacher would purposely fail me on any assignments I used an English spelling in, my history teacher gave me tests every week for the states and capitals (of which I obviously knew next to none) and then would publicly shame me for my low scores in front of my classmates.
That's obviously only the tip of the iceberg of my life here but you get the gist (I'm not even going to touch the violence). It's been hard for me to speak about because I am very much white, and I had friends who were immigrants who went through much worse than I ever did, and that made me feel guilty and like I wasn't really "discriminated against" but that doesn't mean I didn't- and am not still facing xenophobia as a foreigner in America.
why are british people always so mad when people make jokes about their accents. sorry you say yewchube. it’s funny though innit
#and actually something not mentioned here in the west midlands theres literally an entire leg of “speech therapists”#who's job it is to take parents young children and “teach” them how to speak in a more “acceptable” accent#that along with gentrification is quite literally wiping the midlands of its previous cultural heritage in the past 20 years#also this whole point about accents can be applied to food as well#yeah beans on toast isn't the most culinary incredible thing in the world. but its cheap and easy to throw together in 10 minutes.#for Americans its more equivalent to your most basic grilled cheese

This memory popped into my brain today and I had to turn it into a little doodle comic, this happened to me at work a couple years ago.
Since my handwriting is chicken scratch here's a transcript:
(phone rings)
Me: Hi, how can I help you?
Customer: I need a shih Tzu!!!
Me: uh, ma'am this is a reptile store...
Customer: AND?
Me (realizing people are dumber than I thought): tha- that's not a reptile
And yes I did have to spend several minutes explaining that dogs are mammals and what a reptile is.

The Day the Earth Blew Up Review
Saw The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie today. Absolutely fantastic film, by far the best Looney Tunes feature film to date. For once we got a proper Looney Tunes film with no compromises to make it "More Marketable". No CGI, no live-action, no celebrity voices, no basketball, this is a Looney Tunes movie that is 100% Looney! Perfectly capturing the feel of a short from the 1940s.
Not only does this have strong humor, but they somehow made it where the storyline and gags tie into each other in a way that feels organic. If you've ever enjoyed a classic Looney Tunes cartoon this is a must watch, fantastic gags, glorious animation, great voice acting, and just an overall fun time.
An absolute must-watch in theaters if it's playing near you.

Hermit-cats designs can go here, why not. Saw some recently and thought someone may enjoy!
Some are oldish, a lot first passes, but overall happy and had a fun time with em! No names written because my ultimate goal is that you could tell for most of them- process of elimination so be it- but will answer who specific ones are if anyone wants to know!
