Thank you for tuning in for the 2022 Dramione Double the Trouble!

Huge thank you to my fellow organisers @vertraymer and @mistresslynndramione and all of the talented authors and artists who submitted.

There were some parts of this fest which I feel like could have gone more smoothly, so I will be reflecting on ways to make it better in the future and either utilise that knowledge next year, or pass on the knowledge if I decide not to run the fest in 2023.

I hope everyone had a great time and enjoyed reading all the fics and checking out the beautiful art!

Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy were the newest acquisitions at the ministry. Freshly graduated from Hogwarts and having the best ranks in their year, the Ministry Departments practically fought over them.

People had lots of expectations of them both. She ranked first in Astronomy, Charms, Ancient Runes and Transfiguration while he ranked first in Herbology, Potions, Arithmancy and; surprise! Muggle Studies.

But they had the same rank in Defence Against the Dark Arts. And that really had put them in a competitive spree since last year. This was surely part of it.

Malfoy looks at her, as soon as she enters the ballroom. Their fingers brush as he hands her a champagne flute, to pretend she isn’t on a mission, that she isn’t his bodyguard.

He’s much more familiar than he used to be. Even his sneer isn’t that haughty anymore. The curve of his mouth is not so contemptuous, it’s rather endearing if she may so.

And she wonders, not for the first time, why her heart misses a beat when he smiles. Maybe because she knows by now that he’s smiling by the wrinkled corner of his eyes.

Alternatively: Crookshanks doesn't show up for breakfast and all the men in Hermione's life seem to lose their collective minds, and embark on a farfetched 'rescue' attempt.
