<a href="http://nonsensebeats.bandcamp.com/album/walden-lp" _mce_href="http://nonsensebeats.bandcamp.com/album/walden-lp">WaLDeN LP by SWARVY</a>
Swarvey's back with another selection of jazzy psychedelic beats for your mind. There's a very mellow vibe throughout this one, which makes it perfect listening for the mini heatwave we're currently experiencing here in the UK. Take a listen......... Purchase: WaLDeN LP(Bandcamp)

Starslinger: Dumbin feat Reggie B
I've been sitting on the fence when it comes to Starslinger if i'm honest. The Rogue Cho Pa release was brilliant, but I got tired of the endless stream of remixes pretty quickly. This litte monster however has definitely renewed my faith! I'm not even sure how to classify it as a genre (electro-boogie-pop-hop?!), but that just adds to the charm...and having Reggie B on there certainly doesn't do any harm either. Hit the box below to stream and/or download this bad boy.

Elaquent: Crappy Old Remixes
<a href="http://elaquent.bandcamp.com/album/crappy-old-remixes" _mce_href="http://elaquent.bandcamp.com/album/crappy-old-remixes">Crappy Old Remixes. by Elaquent</a>
The homie Elaquent just let this collection of vintage remixes loose on his bandcamp page. Dating from the 2006/2007 era, EQ would like to point out that this was before he decided to turn quantize off. Don't let that put you off though: with or without the looseness, the man still has an ear for mellow samples and snare cracks. The Bahamadia remix will have you lighting up the joss sticks for your next meditation session in 10 seconds flat. Download: Crappy Old Remixes(Bandcamp)

BUG: Mechanical Soul EP
BUG's Mechanical Soul EP is here! For fans of deep electronic beats (with a hint of 80's funk thrown in for good measure) this one is a must purchase. To be honest we weren't sure how the JusLikeMusic fam were going to follow up the recent B Lewis EP (it was THAT good), but yet again they've brought us some outstanding music from another very talented producer....give thanks! Moka Only & Chief: Crickets Preview
I'm gonna go out on a limb with this one: this is probably going to be the best rap record you'll here all year. What else do you expect from one of the best emcees and one of the freshest producers in the game? Chief's beats on this sound every bit as mesmerising as his work on "Drone Beats...." and Moka's mellow flow is the perfect fit for these low swung, jazzy beat excursions. We can't wait to hear this project in it's full glory! Crickets is due for release on 31st October, a date that definitely needs to be added to your diary. Stay tuned for more...

Kidkanevil: Tokyorkshire Research Inc
Tokyorkshire Research Inc by kidkanevil
Fellow northerner Kidkanevil has been making MOVES of recent. This new collection of instrumentals is a tribute to the works of Raymond Scott (see J Dilla's Lightworks) and is 27 tracks deep in abstracted bleeps and heavy drums. Major recommendation for this week and all for the grand price of zero pounds/dollars/pesos. COP IT! Download: Tokyorkshire Research Inc(Bandcamp)

Brenk: Gumbo 2 Pretty Ugly
Gumbo 2 : Pretty Ugly by Brenk
Some crazy good beats business from Brenk Sinatra and the MPM Label. I'll let the promo blurb do the talking.... Gumbo II (Pretty Ugly) marks a new state of the art for sample-based productions. Taking his trademark formula to perfection, Brenk brings together 70's soul with twisted electronica, analogue korg lines, Lil John ad-libs and police sirens, all backed by the most relentless grooves and drum-loops. While every track works for itself, „Gumbo II (Pretty Ugly)“ takes you on a heavy ride through music history: From the embracing brazilian sounds of „Perdido“ to the grimey talkbox Don't just take the promo talk's word for it though: check the sounds out above and get schooled on some heavy beats! You can grab the digital edition now from the bandcamp link below. The vinyl edition is coming on 23rd September so stay tuned to the MPM Store. Purchase: Gumbo 2(Bandcamp)

Idle Warship: Laser Beams
It's been a long while since Talib Kweli announced the Idle Warship project, a collaboration with longtime collaborator Res and Graph Nobel. After a long ass time they're finally ready to share some music with us in the form of "Laser Beams". To be honest i'm not entirely sure what to make of it yet, but i'm interested to hear the project as a whole. The album "Habits Of The Heart" is due for release on 27th October.

Blasphemous Jazz
Blasphemous Jazz: The Bitches Brew Sessions by Blasphemous Jazz
One crazy fresh free download to ease your midweek blues featuring Knxwledge, Mndsgn, Sir Froderick, Stanless Steele....did we mention it's free?! "On Thursday June 2, 2011 at The Little Bar in South Philadelphia; Mndsgn, Swarvy, Sir Froderick, Knxwledge, Josh Hey and Stainless Steele came together to play a live show that they called “Blasphemous Jazz”. The concept for the show was that each artist would produce the re-workings of Miles Davis’ ‘Bitches Brew’ album. Each producer played a live set which included their Bitches Brew session. The show was hosted/Emceed by Stainless Steele. This release is the studio version of what was performed live that night." Download: Blasphemous Jazz(Bandcamp)

Solar C: Science of Living Vol.3
Science of Living vol.3 by SolarScenery
I first got put onto Solar C via the Elaquent produced track "On Way Way" (check the video here) and I was an instant fan. Something about his flow reminds me of old school Slum Village, but with a modern twist. Now the Gill Breathing emcee has unleashed the next chapter in his Science of Living series. "Science Of Living Vol.3" is a journey through top class lyricism and melodic instrumentals that give nods in equal parts to golden era Hip Hop and the current instrumental beats scene. Solar C holds it down in with some killer rhyme schemes and inspired concept tracks that should have lesser emcees running back to the lab to practice. For the beat heads amongst you, the release features production from Elaquent, Dibiase, Sunclef and MFP to name a few. All of this for only $1: I smell a bargain. Check the sounds above, then support a talented artist by copping the record. Purchase: Science of Living Vol.3(Bandcamp)
