Chessex makes a lot of wonderful dice. However, their website hasn't been updated since 2012. This is an attempt to catalog some of their products.

I guess I’ve been in a bit of a fishy mood lately, so here’s another dice bag fish: an angler fish! >(• < •)
I used a twenty-sided die charm I made for the end of their lure. The die was one I bought, but later realized it had an imperfection in it that I didn’t care for, so I added a loop onto the area to cover it up. And now it has the perfect use! :D
I didn’t show it much in the pictures, but the zipper does get jammed at a certain spot, so his mouth doesn’t close all the way unfortunately :( I think it’s because the zipper doesn’t have enough border space on the sides, since it’s an old zipper I cut from jean scraps. I’ll have to find a replacement for it eventually, but for now, I’m still very happy with how he turned out! (ФᆺФ)b♡
[I also included a few sets of dice that I haven’t shown yet, more fuel for the hoard! >:) ]

it’ll never fail to amaze me that chessex, the game dice company - like if you bought your first dice set from a game store/comic shop/card shop you most certainly bought a chessex set - has such an ugly and poorly designed website. it looks like they went out of business 15 years ago.

I have one correction for your Chessex stock number pages .. and possibly some additional resources for you to use to make your page a bit more complete :) ... you will have to find me on your own .. as this page will not allow me to identify myself ... you can just search for the largest collection of dice
I appreciate corrections when anyone finds an error on this blog. If you tell me where you found my mistake, I will be happy to fix it.

Is there any source for discontinued sets? I recently found out that I may never be able to complete a partial set I have been collecting for years because it has been discontinued. The dice are opaque black with blue numbers and the few I managed to put together (a d10, a d8, and 2d6.) look fantastic. I made a Reddit thread looking for more information but it seems they have nor been available for quite some time.
There are a lot of re-sellers and collectors online who might be able to help you, although I unfortunately am not aware of any outlets that specialize in discontinued sets. I’m also not familiar with an opaque black with blue numbers set – if you have a picture or item number I might be able to figure out more, though no promises.

Ok. so one more question I guess. Is this physical catalog/magazine available to consumers at all, or is it only available to businesses? I can only seem to find PDFs of ones from like 2012 or 2013 lol.
I think it is intended to be used by retailers. However, the contact email on their website is current and if you request one they will probably email it to you.

Do you know exactly WHY chessex stopped updating their website? I have been looking around and I couldn't find an answer to the question. It just seems weird to me how they could be functioning without any online presence in this age I guess.
The impression I have gotten is that they get plenty of orders from distributors and other buyers who order from their physical magazine/catalog, so their online presence is not a priority for them. I heard a rumor that they might do a complete overhaul of their website soon, but “soon” could mean 2017, so who knows.

Unfortunately, the Wild style of dice was discontinued in August of 2014.
However, if you’re lucky you might be able to find a set floating around somewhere, if a retailer hasn’t sold it in the past year or if someone is selling a used set online.

CHX27217 - Wild Purple w/ White Set of 10 d10

Dice Recommendations for Slytherins
CHX23005 - Translucent Polyhedral Green w/ White 7-Die Set
CHX25325 - Speckled Polyhedral Recon 7-Die Set
CHX26445 - Gemini Polyhedral Black/Grey w/ Green 7-Die Set
Chessex doesn’t currently provide any dice that are green with sliver numbers, but the Translucent Green dice and the Speckled Recon variety are both striking sets with white numbers, appropriate for a Slytherin gamer of any age. The Gemini Black/Grey w/Green is also an excellent choice for a witch or wizard with taste, the shiny finish of the Gemini style giving them a more silvery than grey appearance.

Dice Recommendations for Gryffindors
CHX25334 - Speckled Polyhedral Golden Strawberry 7-Die Set*
CHX27414 - Scarab Polyhedral Scarlet w/ Gold 7-Die Set
CHX27434 - Vortex Burgundy w/ Gold 7-Die Set
Something bold, in red and gold is perfect for a Gryffindor who’s ready to roll the dice and fight bravely. The Scarab and Vortex varieties show here are both excellent examples of Chessex’s expertise in swirling colors together in an appealing way.
Recommendations for Slytherins, Ravenclaws, and Hufflepuffs
*Pictured here is the Ten d10 set of Golden Strawberry, CHX25134. Unfortunately, Chessex no longer makes the Golden Strawberry color.

Dice Recommendations for Hufflepuffs
CHX25402 - Opaque Polyhedral Yellow w/ Black 7-Die Set
CHX25328 - Speckled Polyhedral Urban Camo 7-Die Set
CHX27438 - Vortex Polyhedral Black w/yellow 7-Die Set
All three of these sets would be excellent choices for Hufflepuff - all three stick to the House colors quite well, and the Vortex dice even manage to invoke some of the stripiness of the badger without abandoning the straightforwardness of the yellow and black.

Dice Recommendations for Ravenclaws
CHX25426 - Opaque Polyhedral Dusty Blue w/ Copper 7-Die Set
CHX27427 - Scarab Polyhedral Royal Blue w/ Gold 7-Die Set
CHX27436 - Vortex Polyhedral Blue w/ Gold 7-Die Set
My personal favorite for Ravenclaws is the Opaque Dusty Blue w/ Copper - simple, elegant, easy to read, and copper numbers get a little closer to bronze than the gold numbers on the Scarab and Vortex varieties.
Recommendations for Hufflepuffs, Gryffindors and Slytherins
