I planned out my trek to find Angel Falls when the Sun was low. I didn’t realize the road just leading to the path would be closed that day (adding about an hour to the hike). I went anyway knowing that on the way back I’d be trekking through woods I had never been in before in the dark. So I lied to myself and said “I ain’t scared”. I was the only one on the trail, and at the falls. It was serene and amazing. I got the shot, chilled out, then packed up. I only peed myself a little bit at every noise on the way out. Successful mission.

Hiking up to the summit of Mount Washington is a test of will and patience...someone told me. I drove up the auto road.

The serenity in this shot is an extreme juxtaposition of what was going on behind the scenes. I was (trying) to stand on small, wet, uneven rock at low tide while balancing a tripod. Meaning it was like standing on ice. I fell no less than 3 times. The tripod fell once. Myself and my camera bag were covered in what I can only refer to as “sea mud”. And I creatively cursed more times than a Tarantino movie. But I came away with no broken equipment and a great shot, so...I’m taking it as a solid W. 10/10 would visit again.
