(a few blocks down the road from the cephalosporin house, right by the ocean, is...)
The Electron Transport Chain PARKING LOT! (featuring the stuff that inhibit each complex!)
The first floor is Complex I, also known as "NADH: Ubiquinone Oxidoreductase." You can park your boats here straight to the ocean because the first one is essentially a pier, Pier A to be exact [Piericidin A]. On the pier, you can see tall Amy [Amytal] holding her Barbie doll [Barbiturates]. On a sign, she wrote "NONE" [Rotenone] kasi walang boats na naka-park that day.
The second floor, Complex II, is the only non-parking floor. Here you can see Karl Malone [Malonate] carbo-loading [Carboxin] right before the big game. He's also having his nail polish removed with acetone, being done by a censor-necessitating manicurist [Thenoyltrifluoro-acetone, or TTFA]. This floor is also known as Succinate Dehydrogenase, and is also involved with Mr. Krabs [involved in Krebs Cycle].
The third floor, or Complex III, is also known as the Cytochrome bc1 complex. Here we have a bunch of antibiotic-haters who particularly hate (pharma correlate) antibiotics that work on the ribosomal subunits of bacteria [Antimycin A]. Nakasakay sila sa carpool [Dimercaprol].
On the fourth floor, Complex IV, also known as Cytochrome-C Oxidase, there's a guy who committed suicide. He left his engine running, and so CO [Carbon Monoxide] accumulated everywhere, and he asphyxiated. His asphyxiation caused his face to turn cyanotic [Cyanide]. His (sentient) car sensed that its owner is dying, so in its distress, it deployed its airbag [Sodium azide, component of airbag gas]. Legal med correlate: right as he died, his anal sphincters relaxed and he let out a large PROT* which smelled of rotten eggs [Hydrogen sulfide].
*Microbio correlate: PROTeus spp are Gram neg bacilli that release H2S, as well as Salmonella.
SUMMARY ETC COMPLEX INHIBITORS I (NAHD: ubiquinone oxidoreductase): Piericidin A, Amytal, Barbiturates, Rotenone II (Succinate dehydrogenase): Malonate, Carboxin, TTFA III (Cytochrome bc1 complex): Antimycin A, Dimercaprol IV (Cytochrome C Oxidase): Carbon monoxide, Cyanide, Sodium azide, Hydrogen sulfide

Sabi ni RonnieBats, think of the amino acids as your new friends whom you have to get to know. Puwes...
The Non-Polar Amino Acids: Glycine is the smallest amino acid. He's holding an H. That's all he has. He teams up with succinyl coa during heme synthesis, and he likes to inhibit the spinal cord. Alan the Alanine is a basurero. He throws away ammonia. Val, Lucy and Isolucy (Valine, Leucine and Isoleucine) are sitting on branches of a maple tree. Their R groups are simple branch chains and their accumulation causes Maple Syrup Urine Disease. Phenylalanine is sad and heartbroken. He says, "Pare, True Love Does Not Exist." (Phenylalanine → Tyrosine → L-dopa → dopamine → norepinephrine → Epinephrine) Twyptophan the Elephant (Tryptophan) is the biggest of them all. His R chain is a double ring, and he's reminding you of it with his double-U shaped trunk. Sam the Methionine is a transporter of methyl groups. He prefers to be called Sam (s-adenosylmethionine) when he's doing so. He's waving a pride flag because he's the precursor of homocysteine. Proline the pasaway enjoys disrupting alpha helices. He isn't even an amino acid (he's an imino acid).
The Uncharged Polar Amino Acids: The three polar bears, Ser the Serine, Three the Threonine, and Tyrosine. Tyrosine also thinks true love does not exist, like his dad phenylephrine. Ser and Three react, saying OH, just like the polar hydroxyl group that they all have. Asparagine looks like a vegetable, but I'm not quite sure which vegetable exactly... His N-shaped left arm is the site for N-linked glycosylation. Glutamine likes carrying nitrogen around. The Cysteine twin sisses, have sulfhydryl groups that enable them to bond covalently as sisters known as Cystin. They both have kinky, curly hair. The Charged Polar Amino Acids: Glutamate and aspartate are both acids, so they're both proton donors, which they're donating to the basic bitches. Glutamate is carrying his baby, Gab the GABA. His other child, glutathione, is at home, nagpapaputi. Arginine, Lysine and Histidine are known as the basic bitches. Like, soooo basic! Arginine works out. Check out her muscles. She's the precursor for creatinine, urea and nitric oxide. Histidine is actually the least basic of them. She's weak. Maybe because she's having an allergic reaction right now, seeing as she's the precursor of Histamine.

Nissen fundoplication: Surgical treatment for GERD being caused by LES incompetence, by surgically wrapping the gastric fundus around the lower esophagus. The smooth muscles of the fundus form a sleeve/cuff that can contract and act as a makeshift LES.

Red arrows are inhibitors. Yellowed circles are Vitamin K Factors
