today i was told that i “don’t have style”
it made me wonder what was implied: whether the clothes i wear are distasteful, or combination of them does not belong to a particular style, or that i wear a lot of styles all the time.
wtf does that mean

every(no)body asking what both my tumblr accounts have to do with dinosaur stuff
well, the most honest answer is that because I’m done having secrets: i’m sad all the time.

I will not :p
i will continue further,
but to start with a a thought:
toady, preston said that while accumulating a value, one lose an ability to figure out or change for what they are valued, to grow as a person (does not this mean to accumulate value?)
How a personal value is characterised? How do we gain or lose it? hm hm

there is something about a misspelling in a tattoo that keeps my mind preoccupied.
something that is considered permanent turns out to be wrong, or with a mistake.
This one seems to be the funniest metaphor of life: mistakes, like one less letter, are disturbing a little but we can live with that, while something more visible, even if not affecting us much, lures out anger, confusion and frustration. For instance, when a tattooist got a little crazy and inked one with a “dick of my life” instead of “love of my life,” thinking of it as a creative and laughable approach. (to note: can we even consider it as misspelling?) why are we ashamed of mistakes? why are we angry about them?

Tattooing // Embroidery
We've discussed tattooing during one of our classes, and I am writing my final paper on embroidery. Those are the two premises. The (meta)thesis is: tattoing is emboidery but with a different medium. (That's too bold and has too many counter-arguments but let me explain why this idea even occured in my [head]).
The surface-level similarities are: both require the needle; the needle is an ultimate creator of the two. The origins follow similar logic of emergence - the two emerged as a language of (sub)cultural signification. Not-so-obvious-similarity is, then, that both embroidery and tattoing are "addictive" as they allow the missing (fabric/skin) in the medium. The missing is so tempting to be filled with yet another embroidery or a tattoo.

Does one fail at being successful? Obviously and evidently, sometimes, yes. But it takes one switch—the replacement of words—for this question to become one hell of a pain in the ass. Where is a place for failure in success? If the intention was to fail, does that mean that one succeeded at it? Is there a place for failure? Does not that mean, then, that failure and succès are not as antonymic as they might seem to be? Their polar meanings are relative. One does not imply the other. What the fuck am I talking about? Am I able to successfully explain the incoherency of my thinking? No, I am not. Yes, I fail. Predetermination of failure: what makes the success in it magnificent?

either it’s an instance of historical reproduction (of what, by the way: the person or the garment? or both??)
first photo: a photoshoot; second: a street-style photo >>> does it add something to this series? seriality? hm…
thanks @hidden.ny for the inspo
it’s funny how i try to find manifestations of the ideas from classes almost literally in everything
