Random Headcanon: Link’s androgyny isn’t just an artefact of the Zelda franchise’s art direction - and neither is it particularly unusual. Sexual dimorphism among Hylians is legitimately much lower than among real-world humans; if Link and Zelda swapped clothes, you’d never be able to tell who was the girl and who was the boy.

Consequently, Hylian society depends heavily on clothing to establish gender roles, to the extent that it’s a severe faux pas to question someone’s gender presentation. If they’re dressed like a girl, then they’re a girl - even if they were dressed like a boy yesterday. That’s why nobody ever remarks upon the fact that Zelda and her heroic alter-ego Sheik are different genders; it’d be gauche at best to bring it up.

Tate: - Raped and impregnated Violet’s mom. - Murdered innocent people just because he fucking felt like doing it. - Lied to Violet about killing the dead breakfast club - Never felt remorse for anything

- Didn’t actually love anyone. Except maybe himself.

So you all know how Massimo (the carpenter) taught Elsa to walk again? Key line being “You will walk again”.

I want an AU where they end up together either at the show or running off together. Then when he reminds her that after the torture he endured he can’t love anymore she says to him “you will love again”.

OITNB Head Cannon (tw: rape)

So, I know that 98% of us hate Piscatella with a fiery passion but consider this:

Caputo was talking about a few “skeletons in the closet” from Piscatella’s time at an all male max facility right? Now think about how desperately Piscatella is always trying to be in control and hear me out.

- “I prefer to stay in the uniform. Keeps me ready for anything” (Piscatella)

-Obvious need to protect the COs even though he doesn’t know what’s going on.

- Overly aggressive behavior and tendency to go to extremes.

- “Usually only the short ones have to act like that. I wonder what he’s compensating for” (Red)

- Obsession with order.

I think our resident minotaur had a run in with some guy at the max facility that was bigger than him, I think he was raped. If the admins already knew that he’s gay and an inmate accused him of rape, well, he’s a big dude. I don’t think they’d question it too much. A men’s prison needs to have a staff of big guys on hand, no way would they have given up a giant like Piscatella easily. Maybe they even put him down in the record as the instigator to make it look like he was being sent rather than leaving.

Now think about how his mother sent him to conversion camp. This guy grew up being told that he should be ashamed. Always ashamed. So he’s going to cling to any kind of dominance he can get. There’s no way to set the record straight with Caputo without admitting that he was taken advantage of. In his eyes, that would destroy this image of manliness that he’s been propping up.

I think Red had the right of it. He’s compensating for something.
