as you walked through the sidewalks, you found the cafe you told mimi the meeting spot was. to be honest, your heart was quenching loudly, you’ve never done something as serious as confronting the most “popular” student in the university (honestly you thought that was utter bullshit). but, for your family’s legacy and not wanting to disappoint your father, you had to take this into your matter.

you went into the cafe and looked left and right, spotting the familiar girl that you once saw in your apartment. you walk towards the table and take a seat opposite from the girl.

“hi, person who stole my necklace.”

yes, you were petty.

“sorry? I’ve never met you or seen you before, and you accuse me of thievery?” mimi commented, looking at you in disbelief.

“look, im only here because of your message about accusing me, i dont get what your point is and why youre trying to target me when i did no such thing-” she got cut off as you spoke.

“dont spit bullshit when you know yourself that you were the one who stole my necklace when you broke into MY apartment. dont think i didn’t catch you stealing my necklace and wear it like you own it.” your face becomes serious, letting your anger of the situation seep out.

mimi stared in disbelief, trying to find any other excuse to counter your words.

“you have no proof of what i did, you can’t even prove if i stole your necklace. what is there for you to accuse me of stealing when there’s no evidence,” mimi fought back, not backing down on her claim and trying to seem like she was in the right all along.

like a mouse falling into my trap.

“you, daughter of selcouth, student from Teyvat high, who have records of stealing others’ clothes. moreover, mentally manipulating your close ones for your benefit. multiple documents and videos were exposing your ass, but the higher-ups never heard of it because of your company, thus all the evidence and documents being deleted. but thankfully, i have screenshots of every document talking about your doings. so, either i show this to the higher-ups and have a mass spread around campus and towards the public, or you give me my belongings back. oh and break up with scaramouche while youre at it,” you claimed, threatening the girl.

mimi smirked, “try it if you want, you won’t achieve it anyways. and that little cat ive caught around my hands, don’t even try mending into my business. no one will believe you anyways,” she stood up and walked away from the table. 

“you bitch,” you whispered loud enough for her to hear as you stare at her walk away from her seat.

although, you were already ahead of her plan, as you paused the recording on your phone hidden under the table. your blood boils after hearing what she called your roommate. 

this, this was the evidence to convince scaramouche from getting out of her grasp.

you went outside your dorm, seeking out some snacks to munch on after your 3-hour research. you opened your door and walked outside to the kitchen. you looked at the living room to see the short man, aka your roommate, with a bunch of uno cards on the table.

‘damn, tf is he doing?’

you questioned yourself mentally. 

was he playing uno by himself?

You opened the kitchen cabinet which made a creaking sound, snapping scaramouche out of his trance, looking towards your direction to see you taking a bag of chips. man fuck your diet you eating good tonight.

you looked back at your roommate, surprised that he was staring at you first. but not for long did he turn back his head to stare at his cards.

‘is he mentally insane?’

You asked yourself again, the sight of him playing uno by himself was uncertain to see.

you opened your mouth, but closed your mouth back hesitantly, wanting to ask about the scene in front of you.

“what exactly… are you doing?”

you found the courage to ask.

“none of your business.”

ah, there it was.

you walked away, not giving another care about him and barely hovering against your doorknob, but you got stopped when the man said something.

“wait! uh, can you help me?”

you did a full 180° turn, staring right at him and waiting for him to continue his line, still having your chips in your hand.

“i… can… can you teach me how to play uno, please?”

You could hear the slight drawback when he said “please.”

You stood there mouth gapped, shocked at this man right in front of you.

right, you’ll experience more of this in your criminal major, this is just one step to adjust to this world. yeah… 

“uh, sure? do you not know how to play?”

there was an eerie silence, and that was your answer. you sighed, walking over to scaramouche and sitting down opposite from him.

and that’s where all your time is wasted by some stupid kid who doesn’t know how to play uno for celestia’s sake.
