Her synopsis pulled from my Toyhouse:

Fateweaver is a Silkwing-Nightwing hybrid, born of a Nightwing father and Silkwing mother on Pantala. Fateweaver spent the first year of her life traveling with her mother, who buzzed on and on about her estranged lover, Wayfinder, who left the two on Nightwing duty.

Hearing all sorts of stories from her dizzy mother, Fateweaver (Laodamia then) believed herself to be quite the special dragon. Surely, she was destined for greatness as a Nightwing hybrid. She deserved nothing short of the world, which was something her lone mother Maza couldn't provide.

When Fateweaver began Silkwing school, an order from the Hivewings that caught the mother-daughter pair, her imagination was proven correct. She learned of Clearsight, the Nightwing goddess that protected every dragon on Pantala. Fateweaver knew who she had to be like.

However, Fateweaver is something that Clearsight wasn't: crafty and self-interested. Amplifying her foresight with an animus touched earring her father left her on the night of her two-moon hatching, Fateweaver now travels the hives to fork in money and luxuries from dragons who just need some hope.

While Fateweaver is indeed a Nightwing, her status as the daughter of a Silkwing means she will never be granted any real first class rights. She still has to produce some type of work. Her silk, imbued with small starry flecks, sells just enough for her to skate by, but it's weak and sheer quality bumps down its' value. This is why she's primarily an oracle, which is classed as an entertainment job within the hives.
