I wish they didnt change the original cast "doubt comes in" lyrics, I would have loved to hear both west end and bway fates sing the original lyrics, smh..

Not to mention how much I now Donal would have absolutely perfected "Doubt comes in / And all falls silent / It's as though you arent there" and "Doubt comes in / And my heart falters / And forgets the songs it sung" AND the "Where are you / Where are you now" we didnt even get doubt comes in on the west end soundtrack what am I trying to manifest

(obviously Reeve would have done a great job, I just prefer Donal's orpheus)

also I just prefer these 2 verses on the original

Original Cast of Hadestown - "Orpheus, you're shivering / Is it cold or fear? / Just keep singing / The coldest night of the coldest year / Comes right before the spring."

"Orpheus, hold on / Hold on tight / It wont be long / The darkest hour of the darkest night / Comes right before the dawn."

compared to

Original Broadway cast of Hadestown - "Orpheus, are ya listening? / I am right here / And I will be to the end / And the coldest night of the coldest year / Comes right before the spring"

I dont mind the last eurydice verse of the Broadway version, but I feel to me the OG cast lyrics are a lot more meaningful, especially the fates lyrics, which to me sound a lot more menacing e.g., leaves a trace of vinegar and turpentine

turpentine btw can cause headaches, nausea, confusion and rapid pulse; when inhaled can irritate the lungs and in more severe cases cause an excessive build up of fluid in the lungs (pulmonary edema), which is a medical emergency and also severe shortness of breath.

Very depressing how Orpheus gets a dad, a mentor, and a wingman all in one and Eurydice just gets three women telling her to kill herself

breaking news guys:

the main 5 broadway cast members of hadestown are returning to the show on the west end!! my opinion however?

I dont know, I prefer the west end cast over broadway as a whole, just certain things and people I prefer over others, not to say I dont like some bway cast members though. I do hope they haven't done this for sake of a pro-shot either, as it quite frankly wouldnt be a hadestown london proshot with the broadway cast.

anyway if your a fan of the bway cast make sure to buy tickets, it's limited time only from the 11th of Feb to the 9th of March

(this is a side account, my main is @mordijerim)

this blog is dedicated to hadestown; fanart, rants, etc. it'll mostly og west end cast stuff as I have a bit of a bias to them, mostly corkeus. (and Damon's orpheus, love him too)
