I really need John and Arthur to address what Arthur said to John when they were about to cut Antoine open in Part 52.

I’ve never heard John sound so small and hurt.

I don't think Arthur really meant it. He was frustrated and upset and hurting. Really, it's not altogether wrong, is it? He would have been better off if he hadn't opened that book. But he wouldn't trade John for anything now. I firmly believe that.

John is going to internalize those words, though. He's going to assume that Arthur meant them and roll with it because they're technically true. He barely even fought against what Arthur said because he knows that Arthur would never have gone through so much pain and suffering if it weren't for him.

Arthur may never think about it again, because there was so much going on at the time and he didn’t really mean it, but I know it’s something that John is going to ruminate on. He’ll never bring it up himself, though, so I really hope they find a way to air it out at some point in canon. It’s going to hurt me forever if they never talk about it cause I know it’s going to keep bothering John.
