Just heard this. This man was talking to his father about religion, and his daughter (probably 5 or 6 y/o) was there and the conversation got a bit tense, so he asked his daughter to go to her room. I was sitting in our bed, reading my book and basically just trying to keep myself busy so I wouldn’t go downstairs to slay him. We had one of our crazy fights. Again. It was basically about nothing but as always we managed to push each other’s anger to a ridiculous level until we exploded once again. I remember clearly that I was just about to make some tea when he slammed the front door and entered the kitchen, stomping through the room so he could make his anger audible. I don’t know why he was so furious anymore but I know that it annoyed the living shit out of me. I told him to relax and stop acting like that and that’s where it started. Of course he lost his shit completely and fired angry words in my direction, telling me to go take care of my own fucking business. I tried to keep my thoughts in my head but at some point, where I had more than enough of his outburst, I couldn’t shut up anymore.

"Let me get this out of the way first, I'm a gay man that is actually HIV + so I probably have more right than you or Daniel D'Addario to comment on this issue. While the tone of your piece was less harsh and judgmental than Daniel's, I still find it incredibly annoying. First of all, the amount of energy, time, effort, and heart showed by Matthew and Jared in just bringing this story & characters to the world is incredible & touching. Also, it no doubt represents way more than anything you, Daniel, or I have or will ever do to contribute to the cause. Second, let's not make these people out to be more than what they are....actors. They never claimed to be advocates nor do they have any obligation to do so regardless of your unrealistic expectations. I do not care or need Jared or Matthew to be touched or moved by my plight. I need them to do their jobs admirably like I expect of anyone else....period. Third, where do you or anyone else get off telling them what to say, think, or feel. They have every right to say whatever they want while accepting an award for their work. They earned that right, & they can use it however they see fit.
