one day we’ll be free.

one day my friends won’t live in fear.

one day we won’t have to hide in shadows. we won’t have to whisper in the blue light of our phone screens or erase our messages drawn on bathroom mirrors.

one day all the little birds in the valleys of tennessee will get their chance to fly. won’t have to be forced into bodies they don’t want or understand.

one day we won’t have to run away from home. they’ll stop pushing us out, or we’ll all dig our feet into the mud and stand our ground, bleeding and bruised; smiling and proud.

one day we will outlive those who wanted us buried/to bury us, to put us in graves we did not choose.

one day it will be their blood. one day they will understand, or else we will make them.

one day our anger will no longer be necessary; but for now, it is our weapon. silent. seething.

one day we will all be allowed to love ourselves.

one day, we’ll all be free.

#mine #I spent the last five minutes crying over the Supreme Court ruling and thinking about how many years it will be #until this can be reversed. about how maybe we won’t see Supreme Court reform in my lifetime.#about how social change is slow. and excruciating.#But I also think about the people we can help. the things I should not mention.#“Keep quiet” does not mean “keep silent.”#Keep your loved ones close. Don’t draw attention to your work. Keep community offline.#There are people everywhere who want to help you. I promise. Don’t ever give up.#I know there are people working right now to help in ways that are now officially considered criminal.#It should not be criminal to help our siblings-in-arms.#But because it is: be careful what you say and to whom you say it.#There are ways to survive even in darkness; we always have.#We have always been here and we always will be. We will not abandon our younger selves. Our younger friends and cousins.#Look for leftist organizations in real life. You’ll find support in those places.#I wish I had resources to promote. But I don’t.#And even if I did this would not be an appropriate channel.#Please stay strong out there comrades. Love yourself more than the fucking pigs hate you.

unless they specifically asked, you don’t get to tell a fanfic writer you think they mischaracterized the character by the way. because the second someone writes a fanfic about a character, that character becomes the writer’s own version of the character. canon is only a suggestion, but whether or not an author will follow it / how much of canon an author will take is entirely up to them. you don’t get to stick your nose in their world and tell them “hey this is not to my liking therefore I think you’re doing it wrong” when you can simply leave quietly and move on to something else you may enjoy

#MANIFESTING THISSSSS FOR MYSELF.#I think my fear of mischaracterization comes in part by how annoyed i am when i read other fanfic authors’ mischaracterization #so! I really need to work on that!#I wouldn’t ever tell someone i disagree with the characterization or their understanding of the character #that would be super rude and unsolicited #but I am internally very judgmental and think I need to do some work on that.

What would be a sure fire way to actually kill Makoto Naegi in a way where his luck wouldn’t interfere? Specifically, if Junko were to succeed in killing Makoto in any way, how would he do it?

(some things to consider:

In SDR2, Nagito is able to be killed because his death WAS the desired outcome, and his good luck enabled it to happen.

another ultimate luck talent can sometimes cancel out another’s, as seen in the DR3 anime in the Kamukura/Komaeda confrontation

In the DR3 anime, the brainwashing video almost causes Makoto to kill himself without any interference from his lucky talent. In retrospect, you could argue Sakakura’s arrival counts, but I really don’t think this was intended to be “just lucky that Sakakura was there!”)

In a way that would turn Class 78 to despair.#Is it compelling and believable that he would sacrifice himself? Beta reader and/or brainstorming buddy request! (Danganronpa fic)

Hey there! For any Kyoko Kirigiri stans out there, I would love some help with characterization and plot brainstorming about a canon re-write with Kyoko as the protag, and Class 78 as Ultimate Despair. (Essentially, THH cast in SDR2 setting. I know where I want to go, but I’m still trying to work out how to get there.)

There are tons of great blogs on here who give Kyoko her due as a complex character, and I’d love some help with writing her in a way that does her character justice. :^)
