it is honestly amazing how much of writing and editing is just. logistics. like... do i use a name here or a pronoun? if i move this dialogue tag to the middle of this line and break it in half, does the end of the line hit harder that way? what if i move the tag to the front? what if i remove it entirely? ...wait, whose point of view am i in; can i reasonably say this character is appalled, or must i say they look or seem or sound appalled? is this a deliberate action or a step-removed one; is her hand closing on his shoulder, or is she closing her hand on his shoulder? environment environment environment, we need to break all this dialogue up with some narration, the scene is coming untethered. what! are! they doing! with! the rest of their bodies that are not hands! fuck fuck fuck FUCK i forgot we covered this two chapters ago and now i either need to cut this whole chunk or find a reason to reprise the conversation from earlier. name or pronoun? name or pronoun? name or pronoun? move this clause around in this sentence? oh i'll add this phrase-- nope, never mind, past!me added the same phrase two lines down. okay, if i add too much environmental narration it's going to take away from this bit, but not enough and it won't feel grounded. what if i move this to its own line? where the FUCK are their hands?

Rewatching some New Who, for nostalgia sake and also because my brother swears that 12 is fun to watch and I love me a grumpy dilf. But to understand 12 I must first get through 11. And that’s hard because I hated it however many years ago and have only gotten more critical!!

Anyway I’m halfway into Eleventh Hour and I’m rolling my eyes at how….Moffat-y it all is and how much I fucking hated this incarnation. Idk if I’m strong enough 😭

Saw Superman! I didn’t hate it! I even kinda liked it for the most part! It wasn’t as good as I wanted it to be but it wasn’t as bad as I feared it to be.

No spoilers: 1. I love Nicholas Hoult as Luthor, he was my favorite part. 2. Lois should be a lesbian but nobody will ever be brave enough to make her one (she also needed more to do) 3. There is (imo) a big weak point in the main plot that requires some major suspension of disbelief. Enough that, to me, it really feels like they had to rearrange the script and plot around it. Oh and 4. Guy was a perfect vain asshole and I am so happy to get to see him actually in something (sorry Kyle and Jessica fans, maybe someday.)

Because I’m a natural born hater I still have a lot of criticisms but those are kinda nebulous or spoilery so I’m not gonna say anything yet. Let it stew in my mind a bit more

A boss fight with a phase 2 that can insta wipe your entire party if you don’t dodge at just the right time, and then get to go through all of Phase 1 again. Good luck learning the Phase 2 move set when you die in one hit ! :)))))) AND THEN he forces you to use your backup team. He completely nukes your team and forces in the benchwarmers. Because that’s fun!

Just. An unreasonable shit waste of a player’s time. I think dark souls has been more of a bane on gaming than a boon, much as I love that series

Oh and you have to beat this guy to get the last journal entry to understand more of the lore. So fuck you if you just wanna collect shit and dig deep into the setting but don’t like the fight
