It all comes down to this. 32 doomed competitors entered the ring. Now, we are down to only two tales that could have never ended in anything but tragedy. Let's meet our doomed finalists!
In this corner: born on a space colony, she was sick for the majority of her life. Her story is only ever told in flashback, we never get to see her in the present. Her name and memory haunt Shadow to this very day. Shot dead by the US Government while saving her best friend's life, folks, please welcome Maria Robotnik!!!!
Aaaaaand in this corner: two kindred souls who met one fateful day when they grabbed the same library book. After searching the world for the supernatural, their discovery of a magic crown would set off their millennia-long cycle of madness, sadness, insanity, and separation. A love story destined for tragedy, folks, it's Simon Petrikov and Betty Grof!!!!
