Ahab - The Call of the Wretched Sea
Funeral doom
ive never read Moby Dick and from what ive heard the only thing interesting about it is the gay sex. this album creates such an incredible atmosphere though and I cant understand the lyrics anyway so it doesnt really matter. it really feels like youre lost at sea and going increasingly obsessed with things out of your control. the guitars are beautiful. im starting to understand why funeral doom is such a beloved subgenre

acid bath - when the kite string pops (1994)
sludge
really like it, feels very bluesy, vocals are really diverse and the bass sounds great, and the more acoustic songs like scream of the butterfly are great too
favourites : the blue, fingerpainting of the insane, dr. seuss is dead, toubabo koomi, god machine, the morticians flame
