So, so thrilled to finally be able to share this EP with everyone! A while ago, @fictionissocialinquiry posted about a No I Love You challenge, where the goal was to write or draw something that conveyed love without using the words ‘I love you’. Where the Water Flows is what happened when I started trying to write songs to fit that brief and then completely spiralled.

Massive thanks are in order for the wonderful, insanely talented artists who committed their time and energy to this over the last few months: The artwork for the individual songs was done by @hayleynfoster​ and @favlie, who have had me in fits with how they’ve made the words breathe. And the cover work and art production (including mock-ups) was done by @doodleladi, whose vision has turned this into something cohesive and beautiful. I can’t thank these ladies enough for the work they’ve put into this, as well as for all the support they’ve given me throughout the process. Thanks also go to @fictionissocialinquiry and @formerlygoldilocks​ for helping me stay calm and for listening to my panic-rants when I was trying to figure out how to record all this stuff. I’m a writer first, and then performer/sound editor/producer come waaaaaaaaay down that list, so apologies for any and all issues with sound quality (recommend listening with headphones), background noise, and exceedingly average guitar-playing. I hope that everyone can enjoy these songs despite the rough-and-readiness of them! Lyrics can be found here if anyone’s having trouble picking them up. Big love to all, and happy Zutara Month!

Ever since I’ve read Solace of Night by @formerlygoldilocks (alongside the artworks of @favlie link here & @fghartwork link here), Comforts of Night by @gemgirl28, Warfare at Dawn by nire, The Skins of Diplomats by @fictionissocialinquiry, and Crashing of Tides by Lliyk. I’ve been itching to draw a nsfw fanart of Zuko and Katara in their vigilante persona, so imagine them after their mission they would “cool down”. I don't know if I'll be posting more nsfw here since I can properly tag here, while on Twitter it is risky to do so.

Zutara Month Day 5: Soulmate Marks

Tumblr kinda ruined the quality of this akdhakksk

I was really excited for this prompt cause I immediately knew what I wanted to do. The type of soulmate mark I decided to do is whenever you get injured, flowers appear on the same area on your soulmate's body

So I did a little comic of Zuko's agni kai with Ozai with Katara getting flowers on where Zuko's face got burned. The flowers I chose are eglantine roses which are supposed to symbolize a wound to heal

I just like to think about how confused Katara would be. She would probably get flowers every now and then whenever Zuko gets injured from fire bending practice, but this is different. There's too many flowers so whatever happened must be serious and she's getting really worried

Also, think about the first time they saw each other. Zuko arrives at the Southern Watertribe, and Katara sees this boy with a huge scar on his face. Would they even realize they were soulmates? Probably not cause they're idiots akdhjsksj they'd be in denial for so long I just know it

I also wanted to do something for when Katara's hands get burned but another comic would have taken too long so I made this little sketch instead

Zutara Month Day 9: Scars

I hope you guys aren't tired of me talking about this au cause I brought it back for this prompt and honestly might bring it back again for day 27 akdhdjks

@stardust948 wrote this fic based on this au and I got inspired and added a few things from here. Thank you again for writing this 💕💕💕

This is the part where I kinda explain how the flowers work cause it do be a bit confusing. Flowers appear on your body whenever your soulmate gets injured. As their injuries heal, the flowers slowly fall off then stop growing. They only stay if the injury leaves a prominent scar. You can pick the flowers but they will come back as long as your soulmate has an injury or a scar. They don't grow back immediately tho and take quite a while to pop up again. I like to think that Katara gets used to picking her flowers because they remind her too much of Kya's death, so only Sokka and Zuko (back in the catacombs) have seen them. Also when your soulmate dies, the flowers wither away when they fall off. I think you'd be able to feel them when they wither, so that's what happened to Hakoda when Kya died. (The flowers he got are hydrangeas from the fic I mentioned)

I actually had another part of this which was a Zuko pov, but this was already taking too long and it's a day late already so I ended up not doing that. But like if anyone wants to see it I could maybe clean up the sketch and post it

slowly she approached him holding a letter containing all her thoughts and feelings she couldn’t bare his gaze not daring to look up, afraid of the ice in his eyes. ice mirroring the celeste and lavender of her dress, like the blizzard silently raging inside her heart when their hands briefly brushed.

“your hands are cold”, he noticed and the warm orange blossom scent had her remember the longing almost forgotten. he took her hand, heating it gently, setting her ablaze, melting away the cold in her core, drawing her in. she could not leave.

Zutara Month 2021 Day 1: Momtara and Dadko

Yes it’s already ZK month here in my country. I was suppose to do a Fire nation version of this but irl keeps on getting in the way 🥲. Momtara and Dadko is usually my go to zk fics, especially when I am in need of a boost of serotonin. I do plan to draw some of my fav fics that has this prompt, but if you have fic suggestions feel free to tell me about it!

Expect for 5 more entries hopefully I won’t be late in posting it :))
