Listening to the blond babble was getting to be tiresome and highly annoying, not just because he had heard a similiar speech before, it was mainly because he hadn't really intended to meddle with anyone, in his own special and likely twisted little way, that was remotely connected Maverick Hunters, let alone be stuck with one attempting to give him an earful. He wasn't even surprised to find himself pinned against a wall with a glorified lightsaber at his throat, even if it had caught him off guard given it's suddenness. "For what reason would I need that for a puppet? You overcomplicate what I needed him for, not for a puppet, I just needed him to be broken. It eliminates a problem." Lumine grinned at Zero, those horribly striking golden eyes starting to glow while he stared at the other. "Though, I would have preferred it if you or the infamous reploid himself had dared to step near me. Such old, worn out machines like yourselves would have been easier to toy with." Finally, his eyes shone brightly, a bright white light emitting from the large crystal on his chest as he extended his arm, pushing the blond away with enough force to knock him back quite the distance. "You know that the term maverick is outdated, you know that I, techincally speaking, don't fall under that title and you know exactly why. I'm not controlled by violent outbursts, I'm not under the control of some filmsy lines of code." Given the light and the loud, sinister sounding voice the new gen now spoke in, it was plainly obvious that he had decided to tap in to the rather handy ability to go 'maverick' whenever he desired. "Unlike you I can use this state to my advantage. I know what I'm doing, I am in complete control of myself. Not mindless or virus driven." He laughed. "Surely you're not dense enough to think that you can kill me. By yourself you don't pose much of a challenge. You're aware of what I'm capable of, surely you know you can't handle me as you are. Obviously I'm not in a scrap heap because someone decided to rebuild me. At present, I have no intention of doing much and I didn't want to encounter you so soon. But, here we are." Lumine looked quite angered, the slightly bared teeth and the downright terrifying looking eyes made him look intimidating, not someone you would want to fuck with. "Unless you want me to wipe the floor with you, then leave. Now."

Zero gripped the saber on his back, his face dark as sharp blue eyes stared at Lumine, his muscles tightening.

"Had it not been for the godamned protocols I have to follow when dealing with my multiversal bullshit," Zero said, anger boiling up behind his ultramarine optics, “your fucking head would be just as good as rolling on the fucking floor right now for what you did to Axl, Lumine.”

And in a blink, the former Director would find the burning blue end of Zero’s blade right in front of his throat.

"Give me a good reason - and it better be - so that this saber will not the last goddamned thing you see before your life slips away right before your eyes.”

Any moments could be the New Gen Reploid’s last…

The new gen grinned at him. "Oh? Did you like my little surprise for him? I find it was quite becoming of him, I don't take kindly to some little prototype thinking he can best me. It was his own fault, thinking it was wise to approach me by himself." Lumine's bright, golden optics lit up with amusement, unwavering before the hot saber so dangerously close to his throat. "Some 'mentor' you are, letting the poor thing make such amazingly poor dicisions. But you're someone who thinks with a blade, rather than their head." He just about managed to stop himself bursting into laughter. This just entertained him, despite the obvious treat Zero posed to him, Lumine couldn't help but find something pathetic about it all. "A reason. You want me to give you a reason? It's really very simple. I have this habit of hitting others upside the head with something quite nasty in such a situation. Speedy little things, you never see them coming until it's too late." The grin on his face soon turned rather wicked. "There wouldn't be any point in ''killing'' me, because you know I would never die. Surely you understand what I'm getting at here." Lumine calmly grabbed the other's arm and moved it away from him and then leant in close, way to close for comfort and whispered to him in the most sinister sounding voice he could muster.. "Unless you want me to explore every corner of that twisted little processor of yours."
