D+Pad's DEEP Discussions Episode 3 - Who is D+Pad? by dpad281 #np on #SoundCloud What up Tumblr? Say hello to the true home of D+Pad's DEEP Discussions. To bring in listeners and get some hype it will also be released on Facebook for the time being. Soundcloud is what I use to stream the file, but all written content concerning the podcast will be exclusive to Tumblr. I figure each social media account I have will be getting their own exclusive content along with some shared posts as well. Tumblr will definitely be where I just talk about whats been on my mind. I won't only posts when there is a new episode of D+Pad's DEEP Discussions posted. I plan on using this Tumblr to help me vent out at least some of the millions upon millions of thoughts I have in a day. So without further ado...here is my first entry: The Idea of Marketing: So essentially all marketing is is a series of techniques that are used to sell people things for a potential profit. Profit however can equal many things. The first definition that comes to mind for me is money. Most people define profit by currency. However it is truly defined by the person selling. Here is an example. I market my music, my image, and my personality. I achieve this through multiple social media apps such as #facebook, #instagram, #soundcloud, #snapchat, & #tumblr. While some form of financial profit is truly desired at some point, it is truly not what drives me. I am purely driven by recognition. Showing me that you not only support but enjoy what I do. I then love to use that recognition and opportunity to share with those what I have learned in this life so they do not make the same mistakes that I had. My profit is knowing that I have helped people and that they will go on to do the same. I am a human being who runs entirely off of #love. Quick side note...these hash tags are a form of marketing as well. Its everywhere. ...I want to spend every moment of every day honestly expressing my true feelings for those around me so that they're always aware and reminded that they are loved and that they are valuable. I want to spread this message. Everyone goes around saying theyre real 💯💯💯✔✔✔ yeah ok...then tell me how you feel when you imagine one of your parents dying? How would that make you feel? Really and truly tell me. What about that someone truly broke your heart? How was that? Tell me about all the tears. And that aching pain. Same people who post 💯✔💯✔💯are the same ppl who can't say a word about some real shit. So thats my message in my marketing. To show people that real strength comes from speaking your heart at all times. Just be real with everything. Be real with your diet. You know that food is killing you. It is! So fix that. You're not active enough are you? Our bodies are made for vigorous activity regularly. So fix that! Its as simple as that. Be real with yourself. This is what I'm selling...to quote a track of mine: "Cuz if u a fan of me, you a fan of being happy and free. To hate on that, must mean, dig deep, you're a miserable being." - D+Pad, Not Your Average Track on DEEP I'm not in this for the money or fame...but they are necessary for what I am in this for. To spread a message. So this new generation of rappers coming up have to resurrect hip-hop. The rap that people forgot. The real shit. The storytelling and emotional shit. Its time man. Artists like #jcole, #kendricklamar, #logic, #watsky, & of course #ystartlater are already doing their part. Its time to make this happen fellas. Y start later?
