My own headcanon is that every Angel is some mythical mixed creature. Like Jackalopes, Unicorns, dragons, etc. While Demons are fucked up facts or symbolisms of alreact existing creatures. Like the RatKing, Foxes, Ravens, etc.

Angels use their unique features (antlers, horns, wings) to stand in for Angel Blades. And when they die, that unique feature is burned into the ground

Meanwhile, Demons are animals empowered by the symbolisms they represent. Bad omens, tricksters, bad luck, and all that. Nothing physically manifests to make them different from any other mortal animals, except that their eyes turn pure black, like in the show sometimes
