All while hiding his identity and dealing with the horrors (himself)

I am so soft for how every member of the Express crew is someone who shouldn't have a family. Himeko is someone we don't know much about but we know she left everything behind for the Express. Welt isn't even from this universe. March isn't from this time. Dan Heng is a sinner and a member of a species that's literally incapable of having relatives. The Trailblazer basically has a divine nuclear weapon sealed inside them. They should all be alone. And yet, they're not.
