As far as I know it was never expained.
My personal theory is that she's Yuriy's mother - not literally, that's not the literal woman trapped in the beyblade, but likely a memory of her.
In the first season, there is a pattern of fighting spirits behind passed down in some way from the family of origin: Takao has Seiryuu, the guardian of his family which supposedly resided in a sword passed down in his family until it chose Takao; Rei is chosen from the elders of his clan to be the next clan leader, and receives Byakko; Max finds Genbu in the necklace that his mother gave him; and Kai seems to have a bit of a complicated history with Suzaku/Kuro Suzaku. I'll surely make that post eventually (it's been only, like, 5 years...) In the Euro arc, Ralf even explicitly states that his fighting spirit is his family's coat of arms.
Granted, getting your fighting spirit from the family of origin is not the only way to find one's own fighting spirit; as an example, both Lai and Mao come from the Byakko clan like Rei, but they have their own fighting spirits – specifically, Lai's Galeon seems to have been born from Lai's desire of revenge towards Rei's perceived betrayal.
In this context, this apparition of this random woman might mean that Yuriy's fighting spirit comes from his relationship with his mother somehow. Do we know the specifics? Nope. I don't think so, at least. But, at least in anime canon, imo there is an argument that the woman is Yuriy's mother.
Did we ever figure out why there's a lady trapped inside Yuriy's beyblade?
#beyblade#yuriy ivanov#beyblade theories on crack#I'm tagging it as a theory on crack because it's mostly based on vibes

Yiiiiiiiiiikes. Somebody has been spending too much time with Kai....
Real talk though, I fucking hate this episode.
Until now Takao's strength has been his belief in his friends. Yes, he's got a giant ego and he's often much too full of himself, but he has always been able to put all his faith in those around him. I'd even be willing to bet he's the kind of person who could trust a total stranger with his whole heart. Takao believes in the good of people, even if they're not someone he's particularly fond of.
Look at how he praised Yuriy during the final match. He was up against an enemy who had stolen from his friends, and hurt Seiryuu, and yet Takao smiled and complimented his strength.
So this moment comes as a complete slap in the face and is completely out of character for our main protagonist.
Shame on the writers!
It makes sense that he's afraid in this moment, that he has doubt in the strength of himself and his team. But the Takao we know would NEVER talk down to his friends like this. He might slip on occasion and say something a little hurtful when his ego gets the better of him, but he would never intentionally be so cruel.
This is a Kai moment through and though, and it's extremely unfortunate that the writers felt they had to give it to Takao.
There are 1000 better ways to write a conflict between friends that starts with Takao being bratty other than what they've chosen to do here.
There was another moment in the series that I meant to comment on that I felt was extremely out of character, but I forgot to screen shot it.
Kyoujyu gives Kai an updated Dranzer (the only blade that's not in the V-series by this point) and Max gets jealous about it claiming that it's not fair that only Kai gets a new blade.
Max wouldn't fucking do that?
Max would be excited for Kai.
I've been praising the writers for their work on Kai, and I stand by it. They've been doing wonderful development with him. But it's come at the cost of the rest of the team.
Edit: Yeah, okay, so as the episodes continue, this conflict becomes more what it should have been from the start. Takao is afraid of losing to team Psykick, so afraid that he's willing to resort to cheap tricks and cheating to beat them. In this time he forgets himself and starts acting differently, and that's fine. There's not a person in this world who hasn't let anxiety guide them to make a bad decision that is a little out of character. It happens.
The team call Takao out for not acting like himself, and after getting wrecked in a fight with Ozma using his illegal modded Dragoon, he snaps out of it.
This is much better writing, and an example of one of the 1000 other conflicts that could have been written instead of Takao just suddenly turning on his friends. I don't find it a stretch for Takao to make a rash decision like cheating while he's under immense pressure and is fearing for the safety of Seiryuu.

Please feel free to join me in my re-watch of the original Beyblade Series and keep an eye out for the publication of my fanfic Berserker Syndrome!
#beyblade#takao kinomiya#very good thread with lots of good points#I haven't seen vforce since it aired lol but maybe I should rewatch it#but yeah takao is a wonderful character precisely because he's flawed#he's so brash and a bit of a bully sometimes but he always means well#and then they put a miniTakao in his team in GRev and he has to handle him alone lmao peak writing#also considering Takao is e8 he's even too nice and kind all things considered

Gaybladers can’t say “i love you” anymore they gotta say “I love moments like this when I fight you head-on without a thought in mind!” as they drift through the stars in their own fucking beybattle

They also can’t say “i love you too”

Also the way Kai says that is so funny its like he’s been waiting for Takao to say something like this instead of saying it himself because he has to look cool and aura farm and he can’t look like hes chasing Takao (he is)
Like just do this bruh

#bakuten shoot beyblade#beyblade#i was a 10yo in a very strict religious environment#i had little to no idea that gay people existed#then i saw this scene on tv#not to be overdramatic but kaitaka might have changed the trajectory of my life lol

Hi Misi! For the doodle requests, how about Kai holding the roundest, fattest chicken and glaring at it? With him thinking it looks like Dranzer.

Takao and his rivals!~
Base/Pose from here
I'm classing his rivals as either people he wanted to beat (Ralf, Yuriy, Brooklyn, Kai) or those who wanted to beat him (Ozuma, Zeo/Leon, Kai, Garland). If someone wasn't included, just know there are 7 dolls in the original base, and I wanted to do these guys.
