The Short Shorts Film Festival closed its curtains. I felt that I didn’t enjoy enough and that didn’t find the very good short film to remember for a long time!

I was at one of the most boring places in Japan, Minato Mirai/Yokohama, just because I wanted to check the Short Shorts Film Festival. CG A program

Unproductive day at darkroom. 6h spent and just one single satisfying print came out. Did I forgot the basics of photography? Do I have to begin again? Then maybe it’s better start soon!!! Frustrated. (sights)

🎥"Le Fils de l'Autre"(The Other Son)
The story of two 18 years old young men, one raised in Israel, and the other raised in Palestine, finding out that they were exchanged in the hospital. Parents and beliefs that is not to be originally theirs. It is an interesting plot, here it could get a little deeper on some matters, but at the same time avoiding them made the subject more universal, easier to understand to all viewers. Maybe the point made here was that at the beginning, as a new born, we are all the same, that we are the reflection of the society where we were raised; that usually we don't like the things that we don't understand, but once we start to know all can be different. (And maybe that we shouldn't take religion too much seriously.) I was thinking how interesting is to compare this film to the Japanese "Like Father, Like Son" which has the same core subject, we can figure out the gender of director. This French film directed by a woman that focused on the mothers and sons, the other by a man that focused on the fathers and the sons. Well ... I was just wondering what if it was daughters and not sons?

🎥"On The Road"
I should be more familiar of The Beatnik Movement and the Jack Kerouac’s books. Maybe with that base I would have like more the film, which I though to be too long, I sort of got tired of Dean Moriaty and Sal, I could not understand the ‘goodbye’ and the 'hi’. I could understand that as what they were they were free to come and go, to welcome and then just leave, but there was no 'No’ they were the 'ok’ guys to all experiments. Well … thinking better now that’s why it ended the way it did, when Sal said 'no’ and then left Dean alone and sort of desolated. I would like to feel more the need of being on the road, specially Sal. I would like to understand more all characters including Bull, that for me just appeared from nowhere and was really friend of Sal. Better I just study more the movement and the people involved in to it to understand more the story and the characters . Right now, I just don’t think I can to judge the film in levels that goes from good to bad.
