A Huge KPOP star Kim Jun su again, got the title role. Also another big musical star Park Eun tae joins this production, 

and Hong Seo young makes her debut in this production. She has gone through a very tough audition and got the role. Quite looking forward to meeting the new talent.

  Anyway, it must be really difficult to get a seat!

Two Korean Enjolras, Kim Woo hyung(2012/Javert in 2015 production) and Min Woo hyuk(2015) are now sharing the role of Radames!! 

Also IVY and Min Woo hyuk are now in WICKED as Glinda and Fiyero. They cannot be lovers in this production as well T_T!

Hong Kwang Ho (홍광호) to appear in Musical Laundry: Great news! My friend just told me that Kwang Ho is going to participate in the healing musical Laundry (뮤지컬 빨래)❤❤❤. This will be his first appearance in this musical in 7 years. Hey, merry christmas and happy new year sue! How was the new cast? Who'd you see as Valjean and Javert?

Hello, Happy new year!! I watched twice this year-Jung Sung hwa is my very special favourite so I kept Jung Sung hwa as JVJ.I both watched Kim Jun hyun and Kim Woo hyung as Javert, and Both times Fantine was Jeon Na young (I couldn’t match the time and watch Cho Jeong eun…)Overall, the cast is stronger than the 2012 cast! Honestly, nobody let me down and the ensemble was absolutely breathtaking.

In my personal view, The new Cosette Lee ha kyung was a bit below my expectations though.. she was kinda overacting during the show and her voice was not very stable at high note. Thumbs up to Lee Ji soo, who did Cosette back in 2012!

oh, i know lm kr cast this year is just soooo great, and it makes the choice very difficult. Since i may only have time for one lm, i thought to go see those i havent seen or not that much before, but great actors also. fact is i watched musicals of yang in dracula, cho jun eun in dracula, jnh, eli, and kim jun hyun in myeongseong and dreamgirls, they were breath taking....maybe i should just knock off a rebecca, umh, to have 2 lm. Hahaha. thx gal, u kind of convince me...

A very belated thank you for your advice on the most ideal cast for Phantom and Elisabeth in May. I went as you suggested to Ryu Junghan & Im Sunhae's Phantom and Elisabeth with Cho Juneun & Jeon Dongseok. They were phenomenal, just love the shows.

Ryu Jung Han winning the Golden Ticket Award (Best Musical Actor category) for 2015. The award (by Interpark, a ticket selling website in Korea) is based on ticketing power of actors/actresses and shows for the year, votes from audience and other factors (I don’t know Korean, so can’t say much about the details). Also, the Musical Phantom (Yeston/Kopit version), of which Ryu is the lead actor, Phantom/Erik, was also awarded under the Best Musical category at this same event. Congratulations Jung Han, you well deserve it.

Oh thanks alot for the offer to answering questions, you are a god send, especially for those of us who dont understand korean yet fell in love with K musicals. i will be returning in march for ryu's rebecca, frankenstein (jeon dong seok and park eun tae) and maybe les miz (jung sang hwa, kim woohyun, jeon nayoung combo). Recently I have fallen in love with Korean musicals, local creations and licensed renditions in the Korean language. OMG, Koreans are such passionate and talented actors and singers…I believe its in their genes.

Anyways, so many great actors whom I love, yet I fall for this one particular guy, Mr RYU Jung Han. What a great voice and stage presence he has! Huge musical star in S. Korea, yet with very down to the earth personality and enchanting smiles. I am enchanted to say the least.

So I waited to make my first post at this blog to dedicate it to Jung Han (aka Tony RYU, or as in Korea 류정한), one of the best, if not the best, musical actors in South Korea.

Why today of all days? Well… January 10th is his birthday, so Happy Birthday 🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂 🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊to you, Jung Han nim. Wishing you all the best and success in all your performances and personal life.

As a dedicated and workaholic actor, Jung Han is performing his latest musical Rebecca tonight at the Seoul Art Center (S. Korea of course) and thus will be celebrating his birthday with all his fans and other theater goers. As he said, he gains greatest pleasure through his interactions with his audience. So enjoy the celebrations your fans I am sure will get for you after the show tonight.
