I keep saying I'm going to open up shop again on FR but balancing full-time work and art is so hard, and every time I finally get motivated again work gets in the way. Shameless plug but I actually finished my Marva fandragon when I finished Banning (and another dragon!) as well. You can find her and some other cool dragons in the 'Legends' tab of my hibden, where I'll be sharing dragons I use in my lore as epic heroes and minor deities whos stories have been passed down for generations.

So I'm really curious how other lore writers look at Flight Rising's official lore when writing their own concepts! This includes official stories, dragon species breakdowns, and pretty much anything found in the site's official encyclopedia.

I'm on the prefer my own ideas but sometimes use official lore boat. I think it's helpful when I get stuck writing but there's more official ideas I disagree with than I end up using.

I usually delay writing lore even worse when a dragon needs some art or a cool icon thanks to super cool placeholder images in the bio codes I'm using, but I finally managed to complete one today! Meet Baning! This Gaoler fugitive is on a mission to bring radio technology to Sornieth and continue his father's legacy.

Welcome to the Clan of Drifting Icecaps

To celebrate the Crystalline Gala, I have been working to update my on-site lore thread in the Flight Rising Forums.

If you are fan of lore lairs, enjoy making clan alliances, or engaging in short-form roleplay such as through clan letters and mail I think you'll find something to enjoy here.

My thread has existed since 2017, but many of these sections had not been updated since 2019. The following sections have had major overhauls:

• Introduction post has had artwork added + a current events section • Clan timeline has been completely updated to a new format with years added to show lengths of time and give everyone more proper ages • "The Leaders" segment, which is a 2nd person POV tour of the clan that introduces you to the main leaders, has been updated to match the current timeline of events. The old version has been reposted in the thread and linked to compare how clan life was previously. • Clan Roles section has been updated to the current timeline including dragons that are officially in the clan despite being in my 'projects' tab • Lair Statistics bonus section has been updated

Other areas are still a WIP but will hopefully be updated soon! You can also learn more about the clan by visiting dragons individually or exploring the #lore tag of my blog.
