Kang the Conqueror could be Marvel’s biggest problem to solve.

Kang the Conqueror is meant to be the new long-term bad guy in the MCU, but can this character really keep that role?

After beating Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, what other bad guy could the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s heroes fight? Strangely, Marvel Studios executives chose to use a different cosmic bad guy who is often involved in time travel stories instead of a completely different enemy from Thanos. Kang the Conqueror was the new bad guy. We first saw this character (a version called He Who Remains) in the last episode of Loki’s first season. After that, Kang came back as the main bad guy in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania and will be back for Loki Season 2. Jonathan Majors plays the character and all of his copies. The actor was originally set to play the part again in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. The name of that movie makes it clear that Kang and his copies would have been the main focus, probably in a way similar to how Avengers: Infinity War focused a lot on Thanos.
