thoughts on the new six costume?

Hi anon! Thanks for the question!

So at first I was really against it (back when I saw it as a grainy photo and I couldn't see all the details), but now I'm getting used to it and I think it's pretty.

I also think the name of the costume is interesting. Because every other alt/swing costume has had "normal" names, examples being teal, orange, pink/light pink, black, and silver. And then you have this costume with the name pewter and it's kind of like wtf, where did this name come from.

Put under a cut for photos and more of my thoughts.

This was the first indication that there was a new swalt costume. And being a variation where it is not the main costume only gave everyone an idea on the color and design of the holo vinyl but nothing else.

Then today we got this (and since it was a seymour debut, this means that this is/is most likely the main variation).

I think the sleeves/ruffs are interesting as the shape is similar to the pink alt costume but they have tabs like how the bottom of the top does which hasn't been done on any of the costumes (at least to my knowledge).

The main thing I don't think I like is that it's another skirt (especially when the costume that has a similar skirt to this one is silver so it makes those two costumes very similar).

Like as of right now, out of the official 6 swing and alt costumes (Silver, Pewter, Teal, Pink, Orange, and the now retired Black), 4 out of the 6 have skirts as the "main" variation, all of which have openings at the front, the other 2 have pants.

Yes I get that it's not a big deal but I just wish we had more variety in the costume bases. But I am still grateful that we have another costume so we hopefully won't have as much of a problem with two or more people wearing the same costume at the same time.

I think as of right now if I had to rank the pewter costume with the other swalt costumes, this is how they would rank. 1. Black 2. Teal 3. Silver 4. Pewter and Orange (tie) 6. Pink

Myself in Six

So I just recently finished doing my MC's/OC's as queens in Six so now i figured I would do myself because I want to. Also if anyone else wants to do this as well I would like to see it.

Also if you see a few mistake such as wrong lipstick color/wrong earrings, no you didn't.

Introductory

After having this account for almost 2 and a half years, I think it is finally time to do an introductory post.

Hi everyone! My name is Megan. This blog mostly focuses on stories from the mobile app, Choices (more specifically Open Heart, Red Carpet Diaries, and America's Most Eligible).

I do sometimes post about the faceclaims to my MC's/OC's and their LI's, Dancing with the Stars (mostly Jason Mraz and/or Daniella Karagach though), Cillian Murphy, and more.

I also talk a lot about Six the Musical (both US and UK/Int. versions but mostly UK as I sometimes prefer their setup vs the US) and will also make stuff for my MC's and OC's that involve six. I also talk about Moulin Rouge a little bit (not as much anymore due to my opinions on some terrible casting choices).

I do occasionally have some NSFW/suggestive content on my account, meaning that minors should not interact with it and it will be labeled.

My pronouns are She/Her. My birthday is March 3. I am currently a second year college student getting a BFA in screenwriting.

The reason my account is called TveiterTotWrites (or as you see it on tumblr tveitertotwrites), is because I am not very creative when coming up with usernames/titles. When I first started writing for Choices, I only wrote for Open Heart (hence at the time I was called openheartfanfiction). Now that I have expanded to other books, I had to change it and decided on my current username because the fandom name for fans of Aaron Tveit (who I am a big fan of and who is a faceclaim for some oc's of mine) is called the Tveiter Tots (idk why).

Dancing With Our Hearts Tied (Part 1)

Summary: A Dancing With The Stars AU where Tobias is a famous singer who decided to go on Dancing With The Stars, and gets Adelaide as his pro partner.

A/n: This will have multiple parts (looking at my outline, it will be 5 parts). I don't know when I'll post part 2 or any of the other parts so it won't be a weekly upload.

Adelaide was very nervous for today. It was the first day of filming for Dancing with the Stars and she was going to be meeting her partner for the first time today. She had no idea of who it could possibly be which made her nerves worse. 

She was waiting in one of the dance spaces to see who her partner was for the season with cameras and crew also waiting to get her reaction and to catch her celeb partner walking through the door.

Once the handle of the door turned, famous actor and singer Tobias Carrick walked in. As he walked in, Adelaide let out a scream and started jumping up and down saying “no way” as Tobias also yelled and walked over to her saying “oh my god”. The pair then gave each other a big hug.

“I’m a huge fan.” Adelaide places a hand over her chest. “Oh thank you so much. Thank you.” Tobias rubs his hands together. “So why did you want to do this show?” Adelaide asked as they split apart.

“Well, I did a bunch of shows and films as well as a show on Broadway. But all of those roles didn’t require me to dance. And for my songs and tours that I have done, my labels that I have worked with didn’t think that I needed to dance much. So this is kind of my way of proving to them and myself what I can actually do.”

Adelaide smiled, “Wow. That’s very interesting. So, our first dance is a Salsa to ‘Ride With Me’, which you know that song very well.”

They both laugh, “That is my song.” Tobias points at his chest. They both calm down and get started on filming videos for the announcement of who the stars are. After filming, they start seeing what Tobias can do with his movements.

Adelaide starts doing a few different moves, while Tobias stands off to the side and watches before attempting the move. She watches him complete the moves with a smile on her face. “You got it. Good Job.” Adelaide says before holding her hand out to him for a high five.

He high fives her and takes a deep breath before smiling at her. The two of them then head out of the rehearsal space and head into separate spaces to film their solo sections of the package that will be shown before their dance.

Tobias is the first to film his, as the camera crew is all set up. He sits down in the provided chair and begins to talk about his journey with dancing.

“When I was in college, I was originally a musical theatre major, but during the first dance class, I was looking at myself in the mirror, and I thought to myself ‘I can’t do this’ and immediately switched to a voice major. I was so scared of what other people might think that I didn’t allow myself to really try and make mistakes because I thought that everyone else I was with would think that I wasn’t cut out for it.”

As Tobias is about to finish up his interview, Adelaide is just starting hers in another room.

“I LOVE Tobias Carrick. Whenever me and my family would go roadtripping, we would listen to his music for at least a good portion of the drive.”

The two of them finish up their interviews and head home, ready to rehearse later on in the weeks leading up to the first performance, as well as the promo for the season.

The next week was the cast's appearance on Good Morning America. Adelaide and the other pros begin the show with a dance number, each pro getting a spotlight section. After that, each celeb and pro gets an introduction as a pairing. ‘Up next, Adelaide and Singer Tobias Carrick!” One of the hosts of GMA says.

The whole cast mingles with each other before sitting down in their designated seats. The celebs are in dressy clothes while the pros are in silver outfits. Tobias was in the first row while Adelaide sat in the second row behind him. 

The pair shared a smile at each other as a member of the crew counted down to when they would be on air. Everyone looked at the camera as the hosts of Good Morning America introduced the hosts and judges first and then moved onto the celeb competitors of the season.

“So Tobias, the last time you were here was only a few months ago performing one of your new songs. Was that your audition reel for Dancing with the Stars?” One of the hosts of GMA said.

“Yeah, I remember talking to you after and you saying that ‘You should compete on Dancing with the Stars.’ Which now makes me think of writing a song that could help me win a lottery.” Tobias says with a straight face.

Everyone on camera laughs, especially Adelaide. Tobias keeps a straight face as he continues to talk. “But no, I am very happy to be here. I’ve got an amazing partner. She’s done well on the show so far and I trust her to help me do well.”

A little while later it is time for the first press line with all of the stars and the pros. Tobias and Adelaide take a couple pictures together and do a couple interviews along the carpet.

“What are you most scared for this season?” One interviewer asks. “I don’t really think I am scared of anything. I am just really excited to start.” Adelaide looks at Tobias for his answer. “Yeah, I mean, she’s having me do some pretty outrageous things so far. So, I might be scared of getting hurt.” Tobias said.

Both the interviewer and Adelaide laugh at his comment. “We’ve got knee pads so I think we’re fine.” The interviewer thanks them for their time and they move on to take more photos and give more interviews.

After they’ve finished walking the carpet and done their interviews, Tobias and Adelaide chat with the rest of the cast for a little bit before heading to their hotel rooms for the night and heading on a plane the next morning back to Los Angeles to keep rehearsing.

A couple weeks later, it was finally time for the first performance. Adelaide was getting ready to shoot the opening number while Tobias was getting ready for his and Adelaide’s performance. For the opening number, she wore a dark blue sparkly leotard with an open back.

Once the opening number was filmed, she and the other pros quickly got changed into their outfits for their dances. Soon it was time to film the introductions.

When it came time to introduce Tobias and Adelaide, they were in the corner of the ballroom next to the stairs leading to the balcony. They decided to do some snaps while looking at each other from both sides. Tobias and Adelaide then headed over to the center of the ballroom with the other contestants for the rest of the intro.

Luckily for Tobias and Adelaide, they were in the second half of the dances for the night. They did a little wave when they were introduced right before their weekly package was shown. As the package was playing for the tv and studio audience, they gave each other a little hug before going to their spots.

During their dance, Tobias and Adelaide laughed and smiled at each other while also trying to pay attention to their moves. At the end of their dance, Tobias and Adelaide hugged each other and walked over to the judges table and stood next to one of the hosts of the show.

“For your first dance, I think your technique was very good, there were a couple of moments that could have used some more polishing but overall I think you did very well.” One of the judges said.

“Tobias Carrick, WHERE WAS THESE MOVES THIS WHOLE TIME? I mean come on, he’s a  dancer. Don’t deny it. You were able to have the placements down, great job.” Another judge commented.

After the judges comments, they run upstairs to the skybox to get their scores. They got the highest scores of the whole night with all 7s. Then when it was time to see who would move on to week 2, Tobias and Adelaide were the eighth couple announced to return. While they were grateful to continue on, they were a little sad to see a couple go on week 1.

The morning after the show, Tobias and Adelaide immediately got to work on their dance for week two. Once the cameras were ready to start filming, Adelaide could not stop laughing. Everytime she tried to speak or look at Tobias, she would just start giggling for no reason. 

“What is happening?” Adelaide said while trying to hold back her laughter. Tobias just shook his head at her laughter and tried to help her stop laughing but it didn’t work. Eventually Adelaide calmed down and was able to film. “This week is Latin night, and we’re doing a rumba. It’s a slower pace compared to the salsa which means more room for error.”

Tobias nods and they get straight to work. Adelaide starts teaching him some of the basic motions before they slowly begin to learn the steps within their dance. After about an hour, Adelaide and Tobias decide to take a little break. They both sat down on the couch in the corner of the room, drinking from their respective water bottles.

“So, how are you feeling this far?” Adelaide asked. “I feel good. You know, this is only my second time dancing in this sort of way and it’s completely different from last week.” Adelaide nods and opens a box of colorful goldfish, offering some to Tobias, who takes a handful.

After about 15 minutes, Adelaide and Tobias head back to work, trying to learn the moves while also having a little bit of fun messing around. Tobias tries to see if he can climb a pillar in the studio they’re working in but only gets maybe two inches taller than his height, off the ground.

After what feels like forever, it is time for the second performance day. Adelaide carpools with some other pros while Tobias drives a rental car to the studio.

Adelaide and the other pros are dressed in their opening number outfits, while all the celebs are upstairs on the balcony watching the number in their performance outfits. Adelaide is one of the pros that starts the performance.

As the opening number goes on, all Tobias can focus on is Adelaide. Compared to the opening number of week 1, week 2 was more passionate. Tobias couldn’t take his eyes off of her as she danced with the other pros.

When it came time for couple introductions again, Tobias made the executive decision to gently grab onto Adelaide’s upper thigh and pulled her close. Adelaide’s eyes widened a little before the camera turned to them and they both turned to face the camera with small smirks on their faces.

Once it was time for their dance, Adelaide and Tobias held hands and took deep breaths. “You got this.” Adelaide whispered to Tobias while the footage from them rehearsing played. Tobias nodded and squeezed her hands before they split and headed to their spots at the start of the dance.

Once their dance started and Tobias had to seem confident in his abilities, he felt a lot better. He was still nervous of messing up in front of the people in the ballroom watching and the people watching at home. Adelaide unknowingly helped calm his nerves as they moved across the floor.

At the end of their dance, they held their bodies close to each other and Tobias dipped her towards the ground. They intensely looked into each other’s eyes, his brown eyes to her green ones. Adelaide smiled and jumped up and down once they were able to move before Tobias pulled her in for a hug.

Once again, they got a lot of praise from the judges and scored a 7 and two 8s, tying with another couple for the top of the leaderboard. As other performances went on, they took a couple videos and photos for social media, being close to each other and celebrating their scores.

As the night continued on, Adelaide found herself resting her head on Tobias’ shoulder when they weren’t being filmed in the background of other couples. His heart raced a little the first time she rested her head, but eventually calmed down and smiled at the feeling.

When it came time to see who would be leaving, Adelaide and Tobias were the third couple announced to be going on to the next week. Personally, they were not as upset about the couple that was leaving this week as the star was controversial, even if they were sad for the pro they were partnered with.

After the show was over, they both headed to their trailers and got unready and into some comfier clothes. Ironically, their trailers were right next to each other and they exited at the same time. 

“Hey.” They both said at the same time. “I was wondering, I know it’s late, but do you want to grab something to eat together, right now?” Tobias asked and Adelaide smiled. “I’d love to.” Tobias smiled and they walked to a local diner.

Once they were in, they looked at the menu and ordered pretty quickly, feeling tired after the performance. Their food also came to their table in a timely manner. They begin to eat when Tobias looks at Adelaide, “Why did you start dancing?”

“Well, I started when I was young. My parents put both me and my twin brother in dance because according to them, we were both very energetic and creative children so it was what they thought could hopefully fulfill both areas.” “You’re a twin?” Tobias says, surprised. “Yeah. I have a twin brother named Atlas and an older brother named Rowan, but Rowan doesn’t dance, only Atlas and I. While we’re both dancers, he prefers to be off camera. Atlas comes to the shows sometimes but he doesn’t want to be on as a pro, which is totally fine, plus he loves teaching kids how to dance and he teaches near where we grew up.” Tobias nods and eats. “What made you want to get into music?” Adelaide questions.

“Well, I’ve loved music since I was a kid, my mom was a music teacher and while she never enforced it on me, I was influenced by what she did and thought it was cool.”

A little while later, Adelaide and Tobias finish their food and Tobias pays for their meals before they leave the diner. As neither of them live in Los Angeles, the production provided them with apartments in the same building, along with other pros and stars who don’t live in Los Angeles.

They walk back to the studio so Tobias can grab his car. "Do you want a ride back?" "Sure." They get in and continue to chat a little in the car.

Tobias gets out quickly and walks around to open the door for Adelaide, holding his hand out for her to grab. She looks at him, a little surprised, but takes his hand and steps out of the car. They head inside the building.

The pair walk up to Adelaide’s apartment and stand outside her door. “Thank you for the meal.” Adelaide says with a light, tired smile, which Tobias returns. “Your Welcome.” He looks at her lips for a second before looking back into her green eyes. “Well it’s getting late. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Adelaide nods. “Goodnight.” She says as she unlocks her door and heads inside. “Goodnight Adelaide.” Tobias sighs and has a small smile on his face before walking away to his apartment.
