If Hashirama and Izuna met first:

Izuna is competent enough to be sent out alone, but Madara hates it and so Izuna is both afraid and thrilled whenever he successfully escapes the compound. He is deeply loyal to his clan and believes everything they say without question... but he also wants to explore in baby steps.

He is playing on the river one day skipping stones like his cool older brother showed him when an older kid calls out and skips a stone all the way to the other side. Izuna is SHOCKED and APPALLED that someone could be better than his brother at something. And twirling his hair, despite this kid's ugly haircut and clothes.

Hashirama doesn't see this kid as a threat at all despite recognising him as a shinobi, so he teaches Izuna how to successfully skip a stone and playfully bullies whoever had taught him. Izuna huffs and puffs to defend his beloved big brother, but he is also intrigued by this new kid... He doesn't meet many kids...

Hashirama orders him to go home when they see the Hagoromo corpse and they part ways. Izuna sneaks back occasionally hoping to meet this kid again (conveniently never mentioning it to Madara, knowing that he would disapprove) and one day comes across Hashirama crying on the river. Izuna is still naive and eager to please, so he jumps at the chance to comfort. Hashirama is even more upset at how kind he is and talks softly about the shinobi world. Izuna listens with increasing disillusionment and promises that the war will end soon (because, to Izuna, the Uchiha will triumph and everyone will be under their heel).

They soon part ways and manage one more meeting before Madara and Tobirama interrupt them. Izuna is shocked to learn Hashirama is a Senju, though Hashirama had guessed he was an Uchiha, and this sense of betrayal hardens his heart for years.

They come back together when Hashirama insists on healing Izuna from Tobirama's slice. He hopes a sliver of that kind little boy who comforted him on the river remains and tries to jog Izuna's memory to their brief friendship. Izuna is furious about being manhandled by a Senju and insists that an alliance would be impossible because Hashirama is untrustworthy by nature (ignoring the fact that he is just salty that he didn't recognise Hashirama as his mortal enemy).

Hashirama gently calls out his bullshit and uses their friendship to illustrate how their clans are not destined to clash. Izuna refuses to hear him... until it occurs to him that he could trick Hashirama into bolstering the Uchiha long enough for them to regain their strength and end the Senju once and for all.

If he keeps extending his mastermind plan to depose the Senju and instead nurtures a deep friendship with Hashirama after establishing the village, then no-one has to know...

Dumb drama™️ AU where """straight""" Izuna sabotages all of Madara's relationships by seducing his boyfriends to prove they are all disloyal dogs and Tobirama sabotages all of Hashirama's relationships by being clingy, acerbic and creepy (digging up dirt on them with background checks, snooping through their electronics, asking incredibly rude and uncomfortable questions in the middle of dinner like when their last STI test was).

Madara and Hashirama meet. Their moron brothers are on high alert and do everything in their power to be as annoying as possible.

CYOA:

1️⃣ TobiIzu fall in love after a year of psychological warfare trying to prevent their stone-willed brothers from dating.

2️⃣ Tobirama accidentally falls in love with Madara after tearing apart his background and electronics and learning this man is boring as fuck. He doesn't even watch porn. Izuna seduces Hashirama for a year straight and cries after they finally bang it out because he can't legitimately date his brother's ex and also who knew that he was bisexual all along?

3️⃣ Madara and Hashirama were never romantically interested in each other; however, Madara grows fond of Itama and this sends Tobirama SPIRALLING. He's got three different collages trying to link Madara to an unsolved murder from 1974. Izuna tries to seduce Hashirama and comes up against the Final Boss: his wife Mito. RIP Uchiha Izuna, always missed.
