Anri was surprised; it wasn’t everyday someone stepped in todefend her but today was different. A classmate, albeit one she wasn’t toofamiliar with had decided to intervene and one thing was for sure: they werenot happy. The bespectacled girl said nothing; instead she just stood there inshock due to the other student’s sudden outburst. Anri opened her mouth to tellthe other that it really wasn’t necessary, although she was grateful for herhelp. The words never left her mouth thanks to the hindrance of a hand tuggingher along. Hastily, the two of them left, neither wanting to face furtherconfrontation. Although Anri was unfamiliar with her peer she felt she couldhold a certain degree of trust in the other. However, this didn't stop her fromwondering where the hell they were going. The pair began to slow down as theyneared the school gates and she was faced with her rescuer.

"Sorry about that," they declaredseeming quite nervous "I didn't expect to get that carried away."

“Aah its fine, thank you though.” Anri said quickly whilst bowing her head, theother gave a gentle smile before reaching to scratch the back of their head.

“Do you want to go get a drink at a café or something like that, maybe?” theytrailed off towards the end, getting flustered. Anri didn’t expect the offerand became equally embarrassed at the turn of events, “Y-you don’t have tooffer me something like that!”

Nervousness almost changed into mortification at the prospect that not only hadthey embarrassed themselves, they’d been rejected whilst doing so. Seeing ashow they didn’t think it could get much worse they swallowed their pride beforethey could change their mind, “Ok, but- Would you like to go on a date, notright now but eventually. Only if you want to though…”

"S-sure!" Anri replied, she certainly didn’t expect this, not thatshe was complaining.
